I think that to view things on a galactic scale means to think about the big picture. Team Rocket was always concerned about taking over one place at a time. Team Aqua/Magma concentrated on catching their legendary pokemon. Only Team Galactic had multiple motives going at once (i.e. capturing mirage pokemon, climbing Mt. Coronet, invading Steel Island, building and setting off a Galatic bomb, all at the same time).

Point is, Team Galatic is the most evil, becuase they think they're doing the right thing. People who think they're doing the right thing are evil because they never see the flaws in their logic. If you've ever played Tales of Symphonia, think of Yggdrasill. He died saying he would do everything the same way if he had another chance. Ramirez in Skies of Arcadia killed thousands in the name of justice. Cyrus honestly thought the world would be a better place if he reshaped it in his own image and killed everyone. They are the most evil.

Gladiators aren't gallant because they were prisoners forced to fight to amuse the masses.

Look at the big picture! THAT'S what I was trying to think of, except maybe better x(

I've played through the game 3 times, yet I never heard any member of Galactic mention killing anyone, or even destroying the world or that matter. Did they really say that? All I picked up was Cyrus wanted to create a world free of imperfections. An emotionless, painless place where people could live without any problems. If you ask me, Cyrus wasn't as convinced that he was doing the right thing as Archie/Maxie were. I'm pretty sure there was a little selfishness in his motives e_e Team Rocket is concerned about being the ruler of everything. They know what they do is wrong, but they do it anyway, for the sake of money and evil. If you ask me, that's worse.

Speaking of Team Galactic though, and to help prevent this thread from going way off topic to a team debate, I just ran into this quote for the 4th time playing, and it reminded me of my first impression of Team Galactic: idiots.

"Oh Professor Pokemon, why must you be so difficult? We are approaching you strictly as businessmen. All you must do is provide us with all your research findings. In return, we"ll refrain from causing massive damage to your assistant."
 
I think there is another situation that happens that's much more idiotic.

Two grunts are threatening the honey-man. Oh no. Main player sees them. Two grunts attack Main player to make sure you don't tell anyone. GO! WURMPLE!

They must have seen MikkelDemey's Uberwurm (I think the videos are on YouTube, search Wurmple or something; anyway, the guy beat a 3rd gen game using only a Wurmple).
 
So I'm playing through and I decide to do the Medicham for Haunter trade in Snowpoint City when something hits me - are the NPCs who want in-game trades so goddamn lazy that they can't take 10 minutes and a Dusk Ball to go out and catch one for themselves?

Every ingame trade in D/P asks for a Pokemon that can be caught on the route right outside of the town. What gives?
 
Not sure if this has already been posted but I am not checking through 15 pages.

When you are against Cynthia in the Elite Four. If you get her last Pokemon's HP down low she will say, "I can't remember the last time I was put in a corner like this!"

Would you want to go out into a frozen waisteland with meditaters, moving snowplants, champion wrestlers, Moving piles of stone, and super fast weasils with claws that can easily slice through flesh?

I don't remember any rock pokemon on route next to SnowPoint City but regardless of that that doesn't sound like a pleasent things to go out to.

Buneary's cry in slow motion actually sound abit more cuter and funnier IMO

I was talking about gravelers at the MT cornet side of the route.

@Ondore: They're too busy trying to connect with a Pokemon they're about to trade away. That, or they're living in poverty, unable to buy something worth 1000.
 
OK. Who's seen the blackbelt (who is teamed up with a dragon tamer) in Stark Mountain who says "Hear the howl of my iron fists! Howdy! I'm crazy for karate!" I actually lol'd.
 
I remember the first time I seen the Magikarp used Splash thing. I'm actually a few months new to Pokemon, and when I seen Magikarp using Splash I didn't know much about Pokemon. I thought it was one of those trick things. Where Magikarp would some how kick my ass the next turn. XD

Go play Chrono Trigger and fight the Golem Boss (I think that was the name. . .). :)
 
I've been catching Shroomish for IV parents and naming them funny things so I can see when they go into the box.

"was sent was sent to Box 3!"
"your mom was sent to Box!"

What does Chrono Trigger have to do with this?

Golem Boss is a boss in the Chrono Trigger video game (which is twenty-two kinds of awesome, by the way). When the heroes fight Golem Boss on the wings of an airborne flying machine, it does nothing except count down from 5. The player expects that when Golem Boss reaches 0 it will unleash a devastating attack, possibly one that will unavoidably annihilate the party. Instead, when the time comes, Golem Boss hesitates, exclaims, "I HATE heights!" and then runs off, rendering the entire battle a joke...just like Magikarp's Splash attack.

The Golem Boss is a boss in Chrono Trigger that has a timer when you fight it. It counts down over the battle, and you would naturally expect some super-attack that would wipe out your party, and you would furiously attack him to avoid this fate. However, when the timer runs out, the Golem Boss does absolutely nothing (since you're fighting on an airship, he claims to fear heights or something like that), and you automatically win.

EDIT: I thought it would be an interesting analogy, since Priority of Sion mentioned that he thought that Splash set up a powerful attack when he was playing the first Pokemon games.

But Hitler killed people based on their religion, race, sexuality, and handicappedness. He wanted a world free of anyone who wasn't perfect.

Cyrus wanted to kill people based on whether they agreed with him or not. He wanted a world free of pain and suffering and those assholes who give away your food at Burger King when you don't pick it up fast enough, not free of racial/sexual/etc 'impurity'.

That's basically saying.

Guy #1 Kills 6000000 people because he wanted to.

Guy #2 Kills 6000000 people because they wanted it.

Guy #1 is worse.

Guy #2 is slightly less evil.

At least Team Rocket didn't want to kill people, they just wanted to rule the world.

I think I'm safe to say sanjay is on my side. =P

P.S. When do they come out with Hitler? I think it will be Gyarados's evolution.
 
Please, people. Don't get our laughs thread locked (despite people posting without using the "search this thread" button or whatever) because you can't stop arguing over which fictional character is more evil. =P
