Is the Pikachu with Surf one per disc, or what?

If you can just re-start the game over and over and export Pikachus with Surf to the handhelds, then I'll just trade for one and forget about this game...

No one seems to have answered this yet..

In single player mode, if you have lvl 100 Pokemon, will it auto level them down to 50 and vice versa? And what about in wifi battles?

And most important of all...you can turn the announcer off, right? God I hope so..

I dont think you can have level 100 battles. Just going by what I've gleaned off of GameFAQs

If you hacked a Darkrai from NMI(New Moon Island), and it's English(obv. hack), will the hack detector notice it?

Anyway, the no hack thing annoys me.

Already complained about it x( No, it does not auto-level your Pokemon in single-player mode. Your opponents Pokemon will all be the same level as your highest leveled Pokemon.

They are auto-leveled in WiFi mode though.

Then in single player mode are there level caps for your own Pokemon in any of the rounds? I really hope not, having to keep a team at 50 and a team at 100 in the past games was annoying.

I can understand nucknames and custome phrases not showing up in random online matches, after all Nintendo has yet to let people directly communicate without friend codes.

However this looks to be just another waste of time like the GC games due to not even having a proper 6v6 singles mode. Seriously when will they learn that 6v6 is the preferred way to battle? Its like DP never happened it seems, where are level adjust and all those other improvements?

I'll never forget bringing home Colosseum, then realising that I couldn't even play against my siblings without a GBA. XD may have rectified that, but offering 4v4 doubles only was still pretty lame.

Anyway, the no hack thing annoys me.
I wonder why that is?

Can people that bad at this game really exist?

Cool, if location really DOESN'T matter, then I'm gonna party.

According to some testing, it seems the only things checked are stats.

Meh. I guess it's better then D/P at least.

I've only played in the Main Street, Gateway and Waterfall Colosseum's so far, and none of them required a certain level or under.

Some details about offline VS from NeoForte at NeoGAF:

NeoForte said:
Offline Battles have these custom options for VS.

Number of entry pokemon (how many you wish to battle with): Set Between 1-6

Time Limit for Battle: --Min

Time Restriction for Choosing Attacks: --Secs

Allow Same Pokemon: En/Disable

Allow Same ITems: En/Disable

Allow two or more to be slept at once (Sleep clause): En/Disable

Allow two or more to be frozen at once: En/Disable

If all pokemon faint due to Explosion/Self-Desctruct, user lose: Y/n

Perish Song and Destiny Bond fail if both are on last pokemon: Y/n

Fixed Damage moves like Dragon Rage and Sonicboom always fail: Y/n

You are allowed to save 3 custom rulings along with Rulings for Anything Goes and Lv50all (these allow everything it seems)

I'm trying to unlock some new duds for my avatar person thing. The "Cool Guy" trainer look is nice, I guess, but I want it to be a bit more personalized.

>_>" plus I'm not liking the pink pants.

^ wow, that's pretty impressive..... shame it's not on wifi though :/

He hasn't checked how friend codes online multiplayer is. If it has similar rules, it'd be pretty nice. For offline battles with friends, it seems to be the way to go. The annoyance of being shown each others teams beforehand won't be as bad since you probably know their team anyway.

the one thing I didn't like with free battle (I did a test run against the CPU) is that it's also collesium mode... it only lets you choose 3 pokemon and stuff. Which kinda ruins it. Though maybe I didn't look hard enough at the options. It's possible...

I'd ask if someone wanted to give me their friend code here so we could test how it applies to wi-fi friend battles, but I know i'll get completely obliterated

At first I was skeptical about the announcer, but after hearing comments like "Judgement has been dealt!", I started to really enjoy it. :D

I have it, and I hate Neon Collosseum with a passion.

even more so then battle factory, so it's my fault you have shitty pokemon? Fuck that.

Just got it today. Beat the Neon Coliseum and whatever its other double battle counterpart is. The game itself is pretty neat. Most Pokemon aren't changed from their XD models, but some have undergone huge HUGE upgrades (two of my Pokemon look noticeably much better than they ever had in any other game). I don't know why that wasn't applied to all the Pokemon, but meh.

I don't get why people are saying custom phrases don't work for WiFi, cause when I was battling in WiFi, there was one person who did in fact have customized sayings, though it was nothing special. I have yet to try it out myself though, so it could just be a fluke. I don't give nicknames to any of my Pokemon, so I can't speak on that for sure.

The one thing that I like the most about this game is that for once in ANY Pokemon game in existence, my trainer doesn't look like a complete homo. If fact, I say he looks bloody sharp.

I've got it. If you come across a trainer named "KJAZZ", then it's me. Not sure which custom trainer I like the most yet though..

ok im retarded i cant figure out how to change the custom battle rules for friend battles on wifi. if you go into it and host a game you can bring up the thing to change rules it lists "everything goes" "lvl 50" and rule 1 2 and 3. the rule 1 2 3 are supposed to be customizable i cant find any way to change them, is there another way to access them??
