Sleep Clause makes that a horrible one trick pony. Once you've slep something, you're stuck with something that has meh offenses, as opposed to Breloom.

thats what u-turn is for... to switch out to setup or sweep.. so? Keep my compound eyes Yanma or evolve it to gain higher Att/SpAtt stats but lose compound eyes.

basically im using this as a replacement for Butterfree which i cannot obtain(no FRLG) and not as a sweeper.

Well Butterfree is obviously better since it can Double Powder.

And you really have that hard of a time trading for a Caterpee? Hell, I can Pal Park you one tommorrow if you want.

Sunnybeamer, hands down.

If you can get someone else to set up Sunny Day for Infernape, that could be a good choice, but he's way too fragile to set Sunny Day up for himself, and I think its a bit gimmicky anyway.
Personally, I love the Mixape set in the analysis. Hits incredibly hard from both sides and keeps your enemy on their toes.

He said which set do you like, not which one is the best.

should i use timid or modest for a specsmence?

I'd say Modest. You want all the damage you can get and plus Specsmence is a hit-and-run type, so you'll be bringing it in on things that it can hurt badly and switching out afterwards.

Timid might work to surprise some people, but it's still kinda meh.

does timid outrun anything worthwhile that modest can't?

All neutral natures up to just below the 115 base speeders which is like other Mences, Zapdos, Garchomp, Infernape, Gengar, etc.

Keep in mind a lot of these also go +spd anyway so you're essentially giving up power for nothing.

You also beat +speed base 90s like Lucario and Porygon Z. I don't know if they are usually +speed or not though.

Basically, I'd just go with Modest.

Would Umbreon be more effective if you just max out either Sp. Defense or Defense rather than try to split them evenly? I am going to put 252 Evs in Hp but should I put like 132 in Defense and 120 in Sp. Defense. Or should I just do 252 HP and then either 252 Defense or 252 Sp. Defense?

252 HP, 252 Sp.Def, 4 Def, if you're using Curse.

Well my the rest of my team is Vaporeon, Gengar, Dragonite, Rhyperior, and Togekiss, so I guess I will max out Defense. Thanks for the help.

If you're going to use a physical tank Umbreon, you're going to be using Curse. You shouldn't max out defense, because you'll be getting extra defense already from Curse. Put some EVs in Sp.Def so that Umbreon can survive more than two special hits.

Ok... I can't decide between the two. I thought I would max Defense because it seemed like there are more Physical attackers than Special Attackers. But yeah, I guess I'll take your advice and go for Special Defense.
