So it can be all three?

I just was wondering what kind of capabilities it has. So it has a wide physical and special movepool and about equal in Special Attack and Attack?

Sceptile has the following base stats:

70/85/65/105/85/120 Speed Last

In other words, yea, it can be either a physical or special attacker. Generally, I'd want to take advantage of the higher attack stat (especially when that stat is 20 points higher than the other). But you have some great moves if you go physical (swords dance in paticular, focus punch, x-scissor, rockslide).

I wouldn't foget about it's signature move, Leaf Blade, if you go physical.

And many times it doesn't even need to be a sweeper (the popular SubSeed)

I can't see how a mixed Sceptile would go though....

When Salamence uses Draco Meteor with Choice Specs does it lower Salamence's SpAtk w/ Choice Specs or does it lower it's normal SpAtk and then apply Choice Specs?

Is there any way to quickly cycle through items to get to the bottom of a pocket besides twirling the PokeBall? It still takes way too long.

It doesn't really matter, as the boosts are applied in stages. CSpecs would have salamence's sp. atk. at +1, while draco meteor would lower it to -1.

Just a quick question: can Focus Punch attack first if you outspeed your opponent?

I'm pretty sure the charging (or "tightening its focus") always goes first, and the actual hit always goes last (or at least has a negative speed modifier), so I think that even if you outspeed your opponent, your attack will be going after (unless he uses something like Counter or Mirror Coat).
Not 100% sure though, can anybody confirm?

Can a Tank Starmie work? 85 base in both defenses, Cosmic Power, Recover, decent speed to pull off at least one Cosmic Power before it's attacked, OK typing, and the ability to boltbeam seems like it would make a fine tank =/

Maybe it's just me. I mean, is it the low base HP? Noir has base 45 and still works, and it doesn't even get Cosmic Power =/
