The Everything NHL Thread

Fucking love that fire sale video. It was viral here in Buffalo long before the national media caught on lol.

Also fuck Shanahan, inconsistent cocksucker motherfucker. Nothing for Nash? Really? Eat a fucking dick you insignificant fuckstick.

David Perron with dive of the year. Im not sure why they called hooking on Whitney.

Worse than Ovechkin's "Platoon" dive.

Yeah, they showed the Nash hit on HNIC. It didn't look nearly as bad as people said it did.

Looked equal or worse than Hansen's hit on Hossa. You can clearly see his skates lifting from the ground and while the principle point of contact wasn't the head (rather the back above the nameplate), Nash still made contact to the head and still was a blindside hit.

We just beat them in the Bell Centre twice in one week. I'm still reserved, but maybe Buffalo is back??? (also we healthy scratched Drew Stafford and re-inserted Gerbe, so)

Who gives a fuck where Nash hit Kopecky? That's a bullshit, dangerous, blindside hit. If his face had smacked the ice and busted his lip, we wouldn't be having this discussion right now. Stop looking at the results and focus on the acts themselves.

Brendan Shanahan is the Isaiah Thomas of hockey. He's been absolutely terrible ever since he got the position. Are you guys actually still surprised by his decisions?

The Boston Bruins are now the first team in NHL history to lose twice in one night. I hope Iggy wins a cup. He's more than deserving of it. Pittsburgh basically just bought themselves a cup.

Speaking of which, how the hell do they have any cap space left?

Fans everywhere just saying: "Hand the Pens the Cup". Give me a break.

That's not a very good return for Iginla. The Flames are the worst run team in the league.

I didn't expect Calgary to get much for what was obviously a rental but that package is super bad unless the Pens blow it round 1 again... especially considering Boston would have given up a much stronger prospect in addition to being less likely to weaken the pick by winning the cup.

Most of you know I hate the Penguins but I'm actually pretty amused to see this team if they all get healthy for the playoffs. Nothing is ever certain in the playoffs, but I'm sure on the boat of people who expect the Pens to waltz through the playoffs if they're healthy. Given that both the teams I follow won't be serious cup threats even if they make the playoffs, the Pens' journey should be entertaining to watch.

Here is Tuuka Rask's reaction to the Penguins sniping all of the Bruins potential trades.

Edit: Iginla refused to play for Boston, so Calgary couldn't really get a better deal.

I feel bad for everyone else, but I am so happy that when I'm not smiling, my eyeballs are. Finally. If Fleury blows it in the playoffs they have Vokoun to rely on in place of Fleury. Neal, Kunitz, Letang, Morrow, Iginla, Malkin, Crosby, Fleury, take us to #4!!!!!

^ Hell yeah. I'm concerned if Balysma is going to place Iginla an Crosby on the same line though. Because Pascal Dupuis seems to fit in good there. But he'll probably put Iginla there, because he's just better than Dupuis.
