Outraging Tyranitar?

I was looking at serebii, and i noticed you could get Outrage and dragon dance on tyranitar. Now ttar doesn't get stab outrage like garchomp, but I haven't seen any Outrage ttars yet. You can get outrage and dragon dance off breeding with a charizard.

Would a build like
Tyranitar @ Lum berry
252 att 252 speed 6 hp
Outrage
Dragon Dance
Taunt
Earthquake/Cunch/SE


be viable for OU play?

You can get some surprise kills on Dragons and Lum berry so you can Outrage again...or does Lum not cure confusion anymore?
 
STAB Crunch has exactly the same base power, doesn't lock you in to an attack, doesn't confuse you when it's done, and hits neutral against bulky STL/PSY (which is a good switch in for out-rage).


So... there's a good reason you don't see outrage Tyranitar.

It does, but it's hardly worth it. After confusion kicks it, you'll end up switching. DDTar wants Leftovers or Life Orb.
 
Outrage has no good type coverage among other things that previous posters already said. It sucks without STAB, especially since Tyranitar has such a vast movepool.
