Serebii Updates: Pokémon Smash reveals . that there will be XY content weekly http://www.serebii.net/index2.shtml

What are the odds that that content will be anything significant though......

It will likely be the small things shown on the site/corocoro that they didn't get around to.
That is, things like the new attacks used by the Pokemon, talking about clothing customization, etc

I may have missed it, but did they ever show the full trailer? Because that will probably get shown, too

Haters gonna hate.

What

So it was Mage after all

And now we've lost him

why

I guess too many people thought he was a fraud / fool spreading rumours,
which caused the info being discussed and viewed over and over.
(Drawing too much attention)

And then there's the person called Tai who tried to impose him, which worsen the situation.

If it wasn't discussed so frequently... well.

I personally think that the fairy type info makes a lot of sense to me right at the beginning. Not exactly that I'm 100% sure, but still.
If people still want to believe she's flying despite officially she's weak to poison and SE to ice, I have no idea why people deliberately want to ignore this piece of info apart from solely wanting to convince people that there were right.

I enjoy the people who think "Well maybe the type chart is just being changed around"

because somehow this is less ridiculous than adding a new type

I enjoy very few of you.

A fire/psychic fox sounds reasonable. Some kind of kyuubi deal... basically what Ninetales ought've been for 5 gens.
A grass/dark... beaver? Hedgehog? Generic furry thing. There we go. No idea. I've never really imagined Chespin becoming anything except hard to look at.
A water/fighting frog. Something tells me we've seen fighting frogs before... I expect this one to be a bit more bubbly than Toxicroak though.
The really cool part would be if we got these... I'm sure we'll be asking for stuff like this every gen from 4 onward.. but it's so much more satisfying than say... non dragon Serperior.

excellent.
i can totally see something with a sort of 'dark tyranitar-esque' aura about it, though. such rodents being underground for much of their lives can add credibility to a possible dark typing.

really? i haven't. i've seen poliwrath, but it looks more like an ugly blue target with mickey mouse gloves and eyeballs. oyo

Related: My avatar. Chespin is a hedgehog btw.

Any speculation as to what kind of stat spreads the starters and their evos might have? I'm actually starting to wonder if froakie might end up as some sort of glass cannon, given that it's the smallest and the lightest of the 3 starters.

excellent.

He literally said Toxicroak in the same sentence despite the overuse of the ellipsis. If that isn't a fighting frog then I don't know what the hell it is.

Wow! We have seen 2 fighting frogs (water or not) out of 649 pokemon?!
that's WAYYYYY too many! especially when one of them doesn't even look like a frog

Three if you count croagunk! Sheesh GF, show some originality!

Sarcasm aside, I'm thinking froakie will end up being pretty fast. It can learn quick attack, after all.

Since statistically, most fully evolved Pokemon capable of learning Quick Attack have a base speed of 90 or greater, this is promising.

The Pokemon who have coined Rollout are round or kind of bulbous, but normally either have a good attack or defenses. I wonder about Chespin and his evolutions.

Fennekins line seems like it would be the fast one to me but that's really only based on foxes being traditionally quick.

I'd like Froakie to turn out physically oriented and fast as well. With the ton of Water pokemon we have, the only 'notable' physical fast attackers are Sharpedo and Floatzel.

Chespins line seems like it'll turn out to be Torterra v2 to me. Maybe moving some of the defense over to SpD or speed.

Based on actual facts we know though there's still far too much unknown.

Sorry if someone's posted this already, but...

Anyone else realized and kinda annoyed by the fact that Fennekin only learns 2 attack moves by Lv.11, while Froakie and Chespin have three attacks by Lv.8?

I'm guessing Fennekin learns Howl around the same time Froakie learns quick attack and Chespin learns Rollout, but idk I can't see Howl helping out Fennekin at the start of the game except for Scratch.

Where did you find this information stating that?

Since Chespin and Forakie both learn a new attack by level 8, the assumption is made that Fennekin will learn Howl at the same level that Chespin learns Rollout. By this, though, Chespin certainly looks more like an offensive attacker, Fennekin may become special, And Froakie may well become the fastest of the three.

yeah that irritated me quite a bit
and Howl only helps one move and it isn't even a STAB move >.>
hopefully his movepool gets more in depth than that at higher levels
