Aesop Rock-Save yourself
one of my favorite songs by him, his metaphors are amazing and he always gets his message across and his complex wordplay is amazing
10/10

Bloc Party - The Answer

9/10 - Song isn't great in the vocal department, but it still goes well with the instruments. The metronome of the two guitars in this song gives such an original mood, something you really don't hear in many songs. It's refreshing to hear.

Porcupine Tree - Anesthetize

Oh my god this is one fucking MONSTER of a song. 18 minutes long, going from quiet mellow spacey bits to Meshuggah/Opeth riffs in a matter of seconds, the metal outbursts of violence combined with dreary soundscapes and a completely bleak outlook...this is one of my favourite PT songs. But the whole album is just such a monster as well.

9.5/10

Billy Idol - Mony Mony

I like how he screws up the lyrics on the live version a bit, but making it even better, the chorus is pretty awesome. Pretty good song.

8.5/10

Jimi Hendrix - Little Wing

It's a lot like other Hendrix songs; he uses interesting guitar effects to produce a unique sound. Once again, that is achieved here in a great song. I sort of wish that it wouldn't end though.

9/10

Judas Priest - Living After Midnight

I've started listening to more Judas Priest recently. I particularly like this song, as it's quite catchy and probably something I could sing along to. I should try getting more of their albums. I'm not sure why I didn't buy that 3 for 1 box set I saw in the shops once.

It's 1979 btw.

Smashing Pumpkins - Bleeding The Orchid

Best song from the new album, apart from the single, Tarantula. It sounds quite a lot different from other Smashing Pumpkins material, and sounds a lot more Adore-esque then other tracks from Zeitgeist.

9.5/10

Sparta - Taking Back Control

Started listening to this just today and I quite like it even though it's not really what I normally listen to. Nothing that spectacular, but apparently this was worthy of trying.

8.5/10

Simon & Garfunkel - The Sound of Silence

Lyrical excellence, fantastically written. Haven't heard much from the group but this song shows their talents at least. Its got more metaphors than a mother fucker.

9/10

Ash - Evil Eye

This song is phenomenal, if all their songs are like this one, I've got a new favorite band. I don't know much on this band, except that they're from Northern Ireland, but this song is just amazing.

10/10

Stanton Moore - Chilcock

This song is pretty kickass, it is probably my favorite song on this album (III). It has a nice groove to it and has an awesome
tromboune solo in it too!

10/10

Adam Sandler - The Champion

Say what you want about Sandler's "albums," but this track is truly hilarious.

9.5/10

Circle Takes the Square - Same Shade as Concrete

This probably is the perfect song to describe Circle Takes the Square. It has ambient parts, screaming, great singing, incredible lyrics... it's a necessity for anyone who likes hardcore. It's probably one of the best openers for an album I've heard (although technically isn't the first track). I can't think of anything bad about this song.

10/10

TV On the Radio - Wolf Like Me

9/10 - A haunting melody throughout the song starts off slow, gets slower, and then speeds up perfectly at the end, giving the whole mood a jolt of life. Lyrics are kind of lol.

James Brown - Get On Up [Sex Machine]

10/10

What else can you say? James Brown, not so living legend funks things up in this popular classic!

More like Interview at the Ruins. Now that's a best.

Clogs - Voisins

Using various woodwinds, acoustic guitars and violas this track has a sound that both reaches post rock and classical music, especially neoclassical. For no reason it reminds me of Peter and the Wold.

Since there are now discussions going on for the songs I assume we can post a bit more frequently?

Circle Takes the Square - Interview at the Ruins

Lol as soon as I read that Pax this starts up. Both are awesome tracks but yeah Interview probably beats it out.

The Prodigy - Voodoo People (Pendulum Remix)

One of the best Drum n Bass tracks, remixed by arguably the best Drum n Bass formation ever. I absolutely love the original version of this track, but Pendulum adds a certain a "mood" to it, which makes it that tad more awesome. Powerful track.

8/10

!!! - Intensify

god I really love chk chk chk, and this song is specifically awesome, one of my favorites from their first album.
