Cookie Clicker

I kind of liked this at first, even compared to other similar games like Candy Box which have much more to them. Cookie Clicker just starts out much, much faster. However, like any street drug all the good hits are up front. Once you get past the billion mark the game just slows to a crawl. You want that last hit but you just can't get it, nothing is good enough.

this is so true.

Nonetheless I'm still playing this game. I turned off my laptop last night while I slept and have been running it today while I play League.

eta: related, I've been playing IdleRPG on multiple networks on IRC for years. I've been playing IRPG on SynIRC since Smogon moved to SynIRC (some point in early 2009), but the game has stopped and started a bunch of times since then. I pay much less attention to IRPG though because it's almost purely uninteractive.

Once you get the achievements for your less productive resources, like 100 grandmas, sell them back at half cost. There's no reason the cookies invested in them shouldn't be used towards the more efficient production methods, like portals and time machines. 100 grannies are still only contributing like 600 CPS but are tying up an entire portal's (over 8000 CPS after upgrades) worth of cookies.

Help my next time machine is gonna cost 100 billion. This has spun out of my control.

Also, Golden Cookies own. I unlocked the 100m CpS achievement with a 2x CpS modifier, lol. (I'm at 59m atm)

eta: Saving up for the final Time Machine upgrade now, which will give me about double my current CpS. This should take me about 5.5 hours. >.> I'll leave my laptop running while I sleep, I think.

1/4 million CpS. I think cursors are actually worth the investment, especially with the upgrades. Early game having a high number of cookies per click is huge. Right now after the billion fingers my 100 cursors produce 99,140 cookies per second. To put it in perspective thats abour 20,000 more than my 49 shipments and 32 alchemy labs.
 
Are golden cookies created at some regular rate? I've seen quite a few but never knew you could click on them until you guys were talking about them (have clicked 2 now).
 
that feel when youve been at your campus town for 2 days out of the week and will come home to trillions of cookies. i think i had like 4 upgrades left and a couple of the 100 of x building achievements

secondary end-goal: owning 420 cursors

Every 5-14 minutes, with this halving each time you get a golden cookie upgrade (at 7 and 27 golden cookies clicked).
 
That worked well. Woke up with three trillion cookies and bought the final Time Machine and Kitten upgrades. Gained ~107m CpS outright. n_n I only have four upgrades left (the two 999 billion Cookie income modifiers, I have two left to unlock).
 
I have been looking through my achievements, and apparently one of them is for getting 1,000,000 cookies by only clicking 15 times. heh

So if you guys are wondering why you can't get that last achievement, that's what it is. If you don't believe me I can screen shot it for you.

it's actually not too hard to get, just start clicking after you get a golden cookie bonus if you've got enough cursor upgrades

edit: what's interesting is the addition of "dungeons" in the wip on the patch notes. new building? or some new mechanic entirely?

WHY GAME WHY

WHO TOLD ME ABOUT THIS D:

Actually works pretty well with my job cause I keep having to go out and about on site in order to fix shit so I get to leave it for a while come back and spend all the cookies. I'm going OK atm... 1.3 million CpS at the moment, but I only have like 6 time machines and stuff like that.

100 Cursors, 90 Grannies, 75 Farms, 60 Factories, 51 Mines, 41 Shipments, 30 Labs, 16 Portals and 6 Time Machines. Cursors are making the 3rd highest amount of cookies for me (just under 100k per second) and I get nearly 1000 cookies per mouse click.
 
I'm only at 254 mil/s and I feel like I'm throwing away my life

Also maybe because I'm never ever collecting golden cookies maybe MAYBE maybe
