I hope so. I want to use the Shiny Gible I got from Benga on my second run
Yeah, and it's not even that bad for battling in-game, either. Nice Speed and Attack, and its movepool... well, it's not the best, but it still works in-game. And yes, Pickup was definitely awesome. Especially in Ruby and Sapphire, when even low-level Zigzagoon could pick up good stuff. Zigzagoon was the first Pokémon I caught the first time I ever went through Ruby Version. Caught it the day I got the game, which was the day it came out in the US. That Zigzagoon is the level 100 Linoone in my Black 2 Version right now.
I wish I still had my old team, but I transferred them to Diamond and then that cart broke. They're... in a better place now... *sniffle*
This doesn't merit a guess to begin with. We already know that PokeBank is getting released 2 months after XY goes on sale.
I get the feeling that they haven't had the time to appropriately put a lock in-game for PokeBank. They make the games with the intent that players aren't going to restart their game anyway, so doing so may only cause some registration issues with PokeBank when you restart your gen VI game.
I feel your pain. I still have my old team from Ruby... except Pelipper. Wynaut, Linoone, Shiftry, Castform, Swampert, they're all in Black 2... Pelipper never made it past Emerald. I remember it well... I had been toying with an Action Replay, I had just put in a new code- you hold a certain button while going through a door/up a ladder/anything to change maps, and you end up in Mirage Tower. And I had worked out an ingenious plot, to use that code to steal the Battle Factory's rental Pokémon, at the cost of whatever you had on hand. So I caught a bunch of throwaway Pokémon and started stealing the Battle Factory rentals. Only thing is, every time I did so, I had to Fly back to the Battle Frontier, which required me to withdraw Pelipper from the PC. And one time... I thought I had deposited everything but some Snorunt... Nope, forgot to deposit Pelipper. >_< I actually had flashbacks... Me throwing a Poké Ball at a wild Wingull... Wingull evolving into Pelipper... Pelipper defeating one of Norman's Slaking by spamming Protect every other turn... Pelipper Flying me every which way across the Hoenn region... Pelipper with the rest of my team when I traded them to FireRed... Pelipper using Ice Beam, Shock Wave, Surf... I'm the kind of guy who actually gets attached to his Pokémon, so this was a real blow to me, and it was what eventually got me to stop using cheating devices altogether.
I've never really traded my favorites to newer generations before, but I'm thinking my shiny Meganium is coming to X for sure
And why is that? Are you under the probably likely assumption that he will mevolve this gen?

Actually, it does merit a guess. Pokemon Box R/S was developed after several of the games it was designed for, and has a few locks on it. These locks don't have to be things that were designated as milestones in game, but PokeBank will have to be able to deeply interpret your save data, so it can make up almost any condition it wants, especially since 3DS games can be patched easily. So this will almost certainly be the same. There were no conditions in Stadium and Stadium GS, and this was both amazing and terribly broken.
PokeBank will almost certainly be:
- Tied to your individual 3DS. As the 3DS is portable, Nintendo won't restrict it to internet connection and each 3DS is individually recognizable by their interwebs.
- Restricted (either in general, or to withdraw pokemon you didn't insert with that game) until after you have earned the right to trade.
PokeBank may:
- Have other restrictions, particularly for moving forward generations.
- Link to a web account that allows you to register multiple 3DS devices.

They specifically stated during the initial reveal that Pokémon Bank is compatible with Black, White, Black 2, and White 2. If you want 'mons from your Gen IV games in XY, you're gonna have to do some transferring to BW/2 first.
Yeah... no. What if you're not at home? I'm fairly certain it'll be on an account system specifically for the Pokémon Bank (or perhaps the 3DS shop account system), seeing as any and all transferring here and there is done from within the app itself (this would safeguard against both lost/stolen game cartridges and 3DS systems).
Soft resetting has never been more worth it. And id love to get a ME for all the Johto starters.
Chimchar and Monferno also look kind of dumb, then Infernape is like Class to the Maximum. (And am I the only person who likes Wartortle better than Blastoise?)
On the subject of waiting though, I REALLY hope they speed up trading time. The individual pokemon file is very small data. The excessively long animation is just *brutal* when you're trying to use trades to fill up a pokedex. I think I spent like 3 hours trading pokemon between my own games in BW once, and it's way worse on the GTS when time spent trading is time you could be spending looking for another decent trade before it's gone and replaced with Level 1 Reshiram.

Infrared trades sped this up considerably. Really helped me out when I was trading everything from Black to Black 2. I can't believe I actually managed to trade all my stuff from Pearl to Platinum to HeartGold, though. I mean, we're talking boxes upon boxes of Pokémon here!

Let's be honest though. If Game Freak told us Chespin's evolution had "paladin" as it's name origin, we would've been expecting something completely different.
Yeah, I got over 50 Shinies I'm hoping to transfer over myself.
We won't be able to do that until December. By then we would be finished with the storyline and we would get the starters from a Wi-Fi trade.
Although those with 2 3DS consoles and both games, we can get all 3 starters at launch. :)
People would have expected a svelt or well built knight because people are incapable of thinking something would turn into a ball

I reckon chespin will be some sort of cooker looking night! Samurai using some kind of grassy object as a blade. I hope that picture 2 pages back is right and that something good will come of this ball. Tbh I actually like it cause it looks funny and cute, I don't know why it's getting so much hate?!
On another note, who actually likes fennekin's evo?? I mean it is just a ugly design and it looks too forced, I mean come on, you don't have to give it a magic wand to show its psychic type and its arms look realllllly ugly aswell as its kind of dress thing.
The only cool one is froakie who I have liked best from the start, but I can't really see anything creative for its final evo, unless they pull a samarott! Naa but all I see is a bigger frog and more clouds and probably bigger fists for the fighting type?

I love Fennekin 2. The whole magical feminine thing is totally up my alley. I have a slight dislike for Froakie 2. It looks generic to me. There you go.
