Tyrantrum evo looks good as well. Though I find it hard to accurately determine his size. He looks pretty small compared to how big T-Rex's are.

Tyrantrum, evo of the rock/dragon fossil. Thoughts? *Uses protect*

woa. looks cool.
.......kinda. I guess it's hard to tell because of all the action. It looks like it has a pig stout kinda though........I hope that is not so.

Going back on what I posted about the possibility of Amaura's evo being leaked, it has been revealed by Nintendo. Its English name is Aurorus, & it has the Ice/Rock Typing, as well as keeping Refrigerate. That "Lyophilisation" move seems to be a pretty good move for it, since it can no longer mean that Water-types can switch in on it? Also it apparently has an enhanced Freeze effect which makes it all the more useful. Odds are its BP is probably going to be low though... :|

Well, most Pokémon are quite small after all (Nidoking would reach an adult to his waist or thereabout). There are quite few 'mons that wouldn't fit through an ordinary door. It would be weird if Tyrantrum was the size of Groudon, just to fit the size of the real thing. Tropius is also really small compared to the most famous sauropods.

Also, thumbnail from IGN:

I doubt that means you will be able to catch all Pokémon, more like there is data for all of them present within the game. I could be wrong, though.

Yes that is true. Though I was trying to compare it to the likes of Haxorus who, to me, really looks like a Dinosaur as well. But judging from the ingame screenshot it just looked really small. Now that I see this thumbnail it's pretty clear.

First we got scald, a water type move that could cause burn and now we get an ice type (presumably) move that hits water types for SE damage? I'm really interested in seeing this play out further. An electric move that hits steel types super effectively? The possibilities are endless.

I wonder if moves like this, of one type -and- se against another, are what the leaker meant by dual type moves.
It's certainly one way to describe something like this.

Also it is downright amazing that another site gets exclusive reveals and IT STILL ISN'T THE POKEMON SHOWN IN ALL THE JAPANESE TRAILERS

Rock/Dragon was pretty awesome on its own, but Tyrunt's evo looks incredible. I really hope it doesn't have Rampardos syndrome and become a slow, glass cannon.

But oh my god that brachiosaur

I'm really impressed with all of the designs so far for X and Y. They really reflect a lot of insight and thought that they put into designing these guys. And I think Amaura's new evolution definitely reflects the theme for this time, beauty.

EDIT: R_N
I think what you described was one of the main ideas we considered when we were discussing those rumors originally...and it's definitely plausible considering moves like Psyshock and Secret Sword and such.

Aurorus is a Amargasaurus not a Brachiosaur.

And I can't see a move as potentially game breaking as Freeze Dry not being limited distribution like Icicle Drop or having low power. I mean using that move alone you hit virtually everything except Steel? It does however show their attempt to re-balance Ice as a hyper offensive type instead of changing it's matchups.

I really hope it doesn't have Rampardos syndrome and become a slow, glass cannon.
Even if it does you could always hope for Dragon Dance, not as if that move isn't given out like candy to all remotely dragon related species.

" Various details are coming in from impressions at the media briefing last week. Pokémon will gain EXP when a Pokémon is captured. The Pokémon Centers not only have the standard PokéMart, but will also have a place for you to change your outfit"

The EXP gain from capturing makes sense at least. But then there's no way not to gain EV's really. That doesn't matter so much in-game though, and this only holds if it's true.

But Pokemon don't get stronger from catching Pokemon. (Or didn't)
So isn't that sort of a moot point?

Anyways, one thing I'd be interested in seeing is a small change to confusion. Instead of it running through Attack stat, it would run off of whichever attacking stat is higher, or based on the type of move (Physical/Special) the Pokemon tries to use. It would make sense for it to work that way, and it would finally make Flatter not the worst move in the game.

If as many Exp. points are awarded when catching as when defeating, Legendaries are going to be even more awesome to encounter. That wonderful, high Base Experience Yield...

Yeah this change would be good.

If Mevolves aren't automatic for all starters (as demonstrated by Kalos pokemon not getting it), then I just lost a little hope that Infernape will get one.

HOLD ON, BUDDY. ;_;
