Maybe spiky shield only protects if it is a physical move? They use a special move and it fails and you die. They wont make it that OP or else they'd be stupid. End of story.

It looks like Helioptile will evolve twice. The evolved form's stats and design just scream 2nd stage.
the stats actually seem awfully high for a second stage, i estimate it at about 495 bst, although thats quite rough, but that would make it one of the highest bst middlemons i believe.

It isn't OP... It is almost the same exact thing as Protect which isn't even great in singles. You get 1 turn of Rocky Helmet as a bonus. If it was so broken, people would put the real permanent Rocky Helmet on everything.

The way they phrase it, it definitely seems to block all attacks but deals damage back if the attack was physical a contact move (Earthquake, Stone Edge, etc exempt).
Honestly, it's not that OP and will probably have modest distribution.

Maybe raises def 1 stage and works like counter? I'm sure you know exactly what it does from the loads of accurate information you have..........

Plus such moves are still very niche. As of now, mainly used for subseed users or ice body users. Like they said, the impact of such moves is yet to be seen. I personally welcome the flavoursome counterpart of Protect, as opposed to the straight up clone Detect.

Particularly excited about the new moves. So far they've been quite creative and will hopefully give some outclassed mons a chance to shine.

Wow the word 'protect' is in its description? Must work just like the move 'proctect'!
Lets jump to all these far out conclusions based on other random internet speculation that is all based on nintendos short, 1 sentence move description.
Must work like protect!!!

That settles it. It's not the best starter ever, but its stats are just better than Greninja's, and I love Mega Blastoise, so #teamchespin it is

A friend of mine thinks Chesnaught looks a lot like this guy. I've never played KH so it didn't occur to me. I like the Metroid reference someone else made earlier tho. :3

Strangely enough, Chesnaught's starting to grow on me, but I think I'm sticking to team Froakie. Greninja's tongue-scarf thing makes me laugh and that cap someone grabbed from PokeMonami was what did me in. He's just so happy to see you!

Water Shuriken has potential in the right hands.
Multihit with priority to break sash, sturdy and subs!
Skill link turns it into a reliable base 75 power move before STAB, rain or boosting items.
Just pray Shell Smash Cloyster doesn't get it. ;)

Well, after these reveals, I'm getting Fennekin. I really do like Delphox's design, sort of beautiful and deadly at the same time...and from the looks of the stats, it seems to function quite well.

Are Mega's 'replacing' old Pokemon families getting new members? Because I've either missed something, or there hasn't been a Munchlax/Magmortar-type Pokemon leaked yet.

EDIT: Oh yeah, Sylveon. Herpderp.
