Noted. I might have confusing it with the other physical-based ability (tough claws?).
But then there's Talonflame... I don't know if there's a single less inspired name they could have picked for it.
Who cares?
I like Talonflame. It may not be particularly clever, but it rolls off the tongue well, and it's fierce enough.
You could say it's relentless.
I have to disagree there
The three consecutively pronounced consonants makes it kinda jarring. Almost like it's actually two separate words.
Don't know if anyone has run any calcs yet, but Mega Aerodactlys seem to be 80/150/100/90/120/160.

Well that's if you see it as talon-flame rather than talon-enflame which is a possibility with on-en having similar pronounciations and Talonflame being engulfed or enflamed with fire. I suppose talenflame would have made it easier to see, but that would have taken away from the word talon.
If you want bad uninspired names, look no further than the gender confused "Mr. Mime" as a role model.

But yeah, it honestly does bug me a little that it goes Fletchling -> Fletchinder -> ???Talonflame???
Dam this game sounds so ridiculous easy. Mega evos everywhere early game, several of which are ridiculous powerful (drought zard, tough claws dactyl). The leaker comments about how its easy even WITHOUT using mega evos just emphasize that. I hope post game fix this.

Someone should Ask him if you can get Chellenge Mode after defeating the Pokemon League like in B2W2, if the game is "Piss Easy" like he says then il be disappointed.
This is almost certainly the first gen that I don't pick the grass starter. Chesnaught is actually painful to look at its so poorly designed, and I think the fire evo looks pretty cool.
Since early released new pokes were all pretty cool, I thought I was gonna be excited about this generation. Nothing but disappointments lately though. that barnacle thing may be the worst pokemon design ever.
But here's my question: is there room in the dex for another potential flabebe evo?

I should've worded that better. The pokémon's wasted potential because its other stats won't back up Fur Coat, so its Defense could have been a bit higher to at least give it a more solid gimmic (Normal-type with 600 Def!!!!).
Talonflame is a badass Pokemon with an awesome name. Not like they're known for naming the early game pokemon cleverly. Staraptor, Swellow, Fearow, Noctowl (OH FUCK IT'S AN OWL, AND IT'S NOCTURNAL.)
But yeah, I think Talonflame is pretty cool.

Apparently turning off exp share ups the difficulty dramatically.
So it's a subtle difficulty toggle! Nice! Too bad there's no middle ground
I'm really hoping there's an option for challenge mode or something along those lines. As I expected, the main play-through is painfully easy and making mega-evolution Pokemon available early is just ridiculous. Perhaps the post-game will actually have some difficult trainers. Anyway, I'm pretty happy with what I'm seeing so far. Delphox is way too awesome to pass up. I was always drawn to Fennekin, and its evolutions validated my intuition.
