Pokémon XY Leaks

Again, as far as we know, it doesn't exist. It doesn't even make sense for there to be a Z legendary, if you think about it. Xerneas represents life and Yveltal represents death and destruction; what could a counterpart to those possibly be?

Rebirth? Zombies? Crack addicted chipmunks? It doesn't necessarily have to make 100% sense, look at 4th Gen

TIME
SPACE
ANTI-MATTER wait, what?

It kinda sort makes sense, but if you were told there was a Time and Space Legendary, I highly doubt "Anti-matter" could have been on your mind for the third.

There's actually a good amount of evidence that there will not be a z legenday. (also sure ive repeated this rant before).

Pokemon X and Y are based off of X and Y sex chromosomes, rather than coordinantes. You can tell based off of the symbol for MegaEvolutions, which is a double helix (its kind of 6th gens signature symbol). While there is a Z coordinate plane, there is no such thing as a Z chromosome. Im sure gamefreak will come up with something clever for the third aditional game/legendary, but Im confident it wont be based off the letter Z.

That is all...

Well, actually, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ZW_sex-determination_system

Regardless, XY are based on axes, that's been confirmed by Masuda himself. I'm betting on Pokémon Zero as our third game.

(Ouroboros legendary confirmed)

Also could you guys stop this Dark Gym nonsense.

I think "Rebirth" would be a wanted theme here. Well, Ho-oh is already a Phoenix, isn't it?

Well, GameFreak isn't known for necessarily always following older Legends. (I guess you could attribute to them being LEGENDS.) Such as Mew being the ancestor of all Pokemon, but Arceus is God and created all the Pokemon. So it's not like they are worried about a bit of overlap.

i really hope mega launcher isn't a waste of an ability on mega blastoise. water pulse is the only aura/pulse move blastoise has learned so far... ~_~

For serious, can we just not bring up new things without a source? Please? Mods have had to say this a few times now, and I'll be honest, it's getting on my nerves.

Editing posts anonymously sure is fun amirite?

Also is there no NPC like Juniper that you can simply ask how things evolve?

Lol, why do people want rocks nerfed so bad? Doesn't seem broken to me in the slightest. Same with all the other weathers/entry hazards.
That subject's a dead horse beaten twice over, and I don't think it's the right direction for an XY leaks thread to take.

I haven't seen any such NPC mentioned yet. Odds are evolutionary hints are scattered among multiple random NPCs, just like in every other game. It certainly would be a good thing if there were a consolidated reference for evolutionary methods, though, given the 700+ creatures and an inevitable surge of newbies to the franchise.

Once it releases, the official guidebook may be our best (or only) source until Pokemon websites collect the information from it.

Don't forget Hydro Cannon. Crap, I don't even wanna think about how many noobs using Hydro Cannon Mega Blastoise we'll be running into on the ladder in coming months.

yes there is, but not in humans. X Y sex determination is not universal.

anyone up for Pokemon Z and Pokemon W?

Diggersby stat screen. Gains Ground type, so we have yet another part Normal type.

In an interview, the creators said X and Y are based on coordinates. They made it very clear they are not based on chromosomes. That argument is moot.

It was just a joke.

At least it is going to do some serious damage... Like, it's going to *really* hurt.

Oh man, Diggersby looks like it has Pachirisu style stats... A fast Defensive Pokemon... But its the token Rodent, so I don't expect it to be all that strong.

POST 666! :O EVIL IS COMING THE APOCALYPSE IS NIGH!!!

Correct fact, correct reason: In the interview, they said X Y were coordinates, so Pokemon will not have w.
Incorrect fact, wrong reason: Choromosomes Z W doesn't exist, so Pokemon will not have Z and W.
Correct fact, wrong reason: Chromosome X Y Z W exist, so Pokemon will have Z and W

Done.

Sorry guys, i meant W, not Z. My mistake and sorry for anyconfusion.

I thought my reply for apology was sent but it appears that it didn't.

did some estimated stats for diggersby:

This is what i got after doing some estimating

42-90/20-69/37-85/8-41/44-92/49-97

As a few other people pointed out diggersby is oddly defensively leaning compared to other starting rodents (who usually had their highest stats being attack, speed, or both). Doesn't seem like it'd have much usage competitively though unless it got an absolutely perfect combination of moves and abilities that helped it stand out (like maybe drum+espeed+EQ might make it niche and competition for linoone or something, looks like a mon that'd get belly drum too), and even then i couldn't seen it above like NU or something :s. Not to be unexpected though since it is in fact this gen's rodent.

Pretty sad for Diggersby. Based on looks alone I had some hope that it would actually have decent stats.

Interesting that it's built similarly to Lopunny... but somehow ended up even worse.

When you are describing something's location you can describe it's location among more than 2 planes... we do live in a 3 dimensional world...

Wat.

How would that work?

Changes the field to an electric storm? Or something?

By definition, the electric force on a charged body is exerted by the electric field created by other charged body. In other words, when Magneton use Electric Terrain, it is highly likely that Magneton set up the electric field which in turn exerts a force on the opponent Pokemon equal to the magnitude of the Electric Field times the point charge. Since E = F/q, it follows that F=Eq and the damage done is the calculate values due to base stats, move power, STAB, and other modifiers multiply by the effect due to the electric field. Since q is in units of coulomb, it is likely that only electric move (q) will receive a boost from the field.
