well then.

Banette is exactly the type of Pokemon that deserves a Mega. Finally, no more being forgotten and abandoned in the shadows! (although that's kinda how Banette is formed isn't it...)

Like others have posted, a large number of these Megas may be events, so it will probably take a long while to find them all.

Ghost/Fairy? Yes please.

Hopefully physical attacks suffered a proportional reduction, too. The metagame was already inclined to physical attacks in BW, if the major offenders (close combat, outrage, etc) don't have their powers reduced, or their accuracy lowered, or whatever, special attackers will be much scarcer this gen. Specially with the lower power Hidden Power, too.
Not to call you put specifically, but a lot ofpeople have been ccomplaining about the fact that physical attacks don't seem to be getting nerfed, because the singles meta in bw was very physical. I think the point that a lot of people are missing is that go is balancing for doubles, an environment where intimidate is very strong and which generally favors special attackers. Honestly, I'm happy about the special nerfs.

I'm really hoping for a Mega Shuckle. Shuckle had so much potential, but no Gen IV Evo, barely anything from Gen V, now nothing in VI. Really the only buff he's gotten has been Acupressure in IV and Power Split in V.

All he needs is a MegaEvo with even 10/20 extra HP, or maybe even a little less tanky with a huge offense upgrade. I don't even care if the MegaEvo sucks, just Gamefreak please... :(

The Will o Wisp accuracy increase is an indirect nerf to physical, and moves like Outrage and Close Combat are highly punishable (although I still think CC could use a nerf).

A Mega Evo is dandy, but I think a regular evo would have served Bannette better if only to match the number of evos in the Duskull line.

Mega Evos don't change the HP stat, sadly. Changing rock to steel would be perfect though.

every generation has been physically inclined (i'm fairly certain at the end of each gen, the number 1 poke was a physical attacker) and that doesn't seem to change as long as chansey and blissey are around

chansey and blissey are such good special walls that they have no problem taking on any special attacker with basically no fear, there is no physically defensive pokemon with the same walling capabilities as those two are for special attacks

This isn't entirely ruled out yet is it? I mean, it hasn't happened yet but we've only seen a handful of the base stats. Seems kinda arbitrary to say (@ Gamefreak) "Nah let's not change their HP."

I have a feeling people are judging avalugg too harshly. 100 hp, 180(!!) defense is amazingly physically bulky. I'm aware that he's an ice type, and that his SpD is poop at 40, but hot damn. Groudon has 100 hp and 140 def. This thing has 40 more defense than groudon.

According to research done, along with form trends going on with Pokemon such as Giratina, Shaymin, and Deoxys, the Pokemon's base HP stat does indeed stay the same when the transformation occurs with Mega Pokemon. Doing otherwise would lead to a lot of technical complications.

So yes, they did say "Nah let's not change their HP."

^ unfortunately groudon neutralizes water moves and has a monster attack stat backing him up; avalugg is weak to some of the most common types in the game (as of gen V)

Hmm. If Moonlight is Fairy now does that almost confirm that Cresselia is Fairy, or at least part Fairy? If it is it pretty much seals the deal for dragons.

Banette is another one of those mons like Mawile that would have been better serviced with just a new evolution, but happy with a Mega-Evo! THE DESIGN POTENTIAL!!!
