No, it won't - Pokemon only recieve EVs through personally knocking out the offending pokemon, i.e you have to kill it to get its evs...

No, that's a lie. I train all my pokemon at level 1 by switching them out nad letting something else kill. They still get EV's.

I don't remember where i heard this from, but Pursuit and a choice item allows you to choose another move if pursuit hits a pokemon switching out right?

Two questions: one, by how much does Helping Hand increase the ally's attacks?

Two: with Trick Room, boosted speed outside of TR=Slower in TR, correct? But what about speed boosting or lowering while TR is in effect? Will the effects carry over (Cursing=Slower in TR=Slower outside of TR), speed you up in TR (Cursing=Faster in TR=Slower outside of TR), or will they reverse when Trick Room is over (Cursing=Slower in TR=Faster outside of TR)?

1: 1.5x

2: if you use Curse under Trick Room you will "raise" your speed by 1.5x until such time that Trick Room wears off, at which point you will of course be back to being a slow-ass.

I made 2 teams that I really like, but I haven't started breeding or anything yet. My question is this: Which team looks stronger, so I can breed/EV train that team first?

Trick Room team: http://www.smogon.com/forums/showthread.php?p=487838#post487838

All Physical Team: http://www.smogon.com/forums/showthread.php?p=489156&posted=1#post489156

I would go with the Trick Room team first, then Physical.

Physical one first makes you useless against Bold Cresselia/Physical Walls if you fight one before Trick Room is done.

PBR question: If you copy one DS Card onto PBR, then can you later copy a modified version of that Card's data?

So, I assume that the same works with all speed-changing moves (Agility=sharp drop in speed, Hammer Arm=Boost in speed)? Okay, thanks, I was really wondering about this.

Follow up question: how exactly do the mechanics of TR work? As in, how is speed determined? Is it inversed, and how so, since numbers go up to infinity and you can't have negative speed, or does speed stay the same and the game just looks at it like, "Okay, this pokemon has lower speed, but Trick Room's in effect, so it will go first", but if it does, then how does it work with speed boosts if they do like you said?

Also, Choice Scarf would make you doubly slow in TR, even if you went into TR with it on, right?

Another PKRS question: How long does it take to spread pokerus?

There's a 25% chance of it spreading each time you finish a battle. It will take effect AFTER the PokeRus spreads, not during the battle it gets it.

Follow-up: It only lasts for 24 hours out of the box AFTER midnight passes, i.e., if the PokeRus is out of the box at midnight, it has 24 hours of PokeRus left.

Still have PBR Data question

It simply calculates order reversed from the way it would have. It only operates within the same priority, also; So if someone uses quick attack, they will stil go first. If two Pokémon use quick attack, the slower one goes first. If no one uses a quick attack, the slower goes first.

There's a lot of in-depth info on Trick Room if you just search through the old research thread...

I have heard that Pokemon Battle Revolution can detect hacked Pokemon. To what extent does this apply? Like it will forbidden Pokemon with moves or stats that it should not have?

I have even heard that it will go so far as to ban Pokemon with perfect IV, thinking that it was hacked. Is this true? If so, what about those Pokemon that were lucky enough to have perfect IV?

To what extent does this apply?

From the "So Who Has PBR?" Thread:
Actually:
http://forums.nintendo.com/nintendo/...80622&page= 1
How it detects a "hacked" Pokemon:
The filter looks for the following:
  1. Bypassed Base Stats, if you don't know what this means, dont ask.
  2. Extremely high stats, most say 999.
  3. Any Pokemon over level 100
It does not look for:
  1. Shiny Pokemon
  2. Different Locations than those in the wild
  3. Different moves than legit Pokemon (Illegal Movesets)
  4. Different Abilities (WonderGuard Spiritomb)
  5. Excessive Pokerus
PBR question: If you copy one DS Card onto PBR, then can you later copy a modified version of that Card's data?

Wondering if I need to start a new file...

i left one of my pokes in the day care too long and i miss its evolution level. is the poke worth raising any more. does it matter if i missed him one level. is he doomed to be inferior.

He will still evolve if you level him up ya know...

No, Pokes get evolution boost upon evolving.

I had a Gyarados that gained around 80 Atk after it evolved. Mind you, it was Level 33, but it was Shiny.
