Ladder Balanced Hackmons

I really don't get the point of using Stance Change. Yes, in theory it has 60/150/150/150/150/60 stats, but the fact that it needs to run King's Shield and Stance Change to do this makes it extremely predictable and takes up a precious move and ability slot that you could use to aid sweeping otherwise. Unless you want to run mono-coverage, you have to choose between recovery and set-up, recovery making it very easy to wall and set-up making it very easy to wear down. Sweeping-wise, Rayquaza has the same attack stats as Aegi and far more useful STABs to do the job, especially with Gale Wings on the loose.

I had a battle with Adrian, and I am loving this Anti-Regigigas core.
Registeel @ Leftovers
Ability: Magic Bounce
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Def / 252 SAtk / 252 SDef / 252 Spd
Impish Nature
- Entrainment
- Spikes
- Gear Grind
- Circle Throw

Jellicent @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Def / 252 SAtk / 252 SDef / 252 Spd
Careful Nature
- Nuzzle
- Heal Bell
- Whirlwind
- Stealth Rock

The two combined can deal with any regi moveset, as well as having great synergy together. Entrainment is a great move on any Magic Bounce user, as it makes Gigas hurt by it's own poison! Both Members have Hazards, With Jellicent having the Stealth Rocks and Steel having Spikes. Gear Grind is my only real attacking move, and i only run it cause i want to. Circle Throw is phazing and i wanted one that actually hurt Regigigas.
Jellicent makes Magic Bouncers afraid to switch in with Nuzzle. it also has Heal Bell to get rid of Sleep, and Phazing.

you're dedicating 1/3 of your team to stopping 1 poke when its using a certain... Ban sleep ok

Anti-Regigigas cores are legit, since they serve not only to stop Regigigas but also general support. All my teams have anti-gigas cores just to deal with them, that just comes to show how unbalanced safe sporing is.

Also, Bobby, you really need recovery on both Registeel and Jellicent.

I just can't see what that core accomplishes besides stopping Gigas and getting their hazards reflected. If you want a full stop to Gigas, invest in bounce cobalion, he combines the best attributes of both those mons and can really dent Gigas with low kick. Anyways good old fucking annoying as hell spore tail Gigas kind of slows you down, knocking off both items and wearing regi down with hazards and residual dtail. Recover over spikes fixes this to a degree.

Cobalion isn't completely reliable, it dies to Sacred Fire and EQ, the only way for full stall teams to work is to have anti-gigas cores with good synergy together (such as Magic Bounce Registeel and Poison Heal Giratina.)

dunno if this has been brought up, but can XY BH even be a thing? with no AR compatability and no way to see how new stuff works with Pokemon that don't otherwise get it (can mega Pokemon be hacked in without their stones, can Parental Bond work w/ mons that aren't Kangaskhan, other nuances etc.), idk how feasible it would be without just making it up as we go. and as far as I know the purpose of (Balanced) Hackmons was to make a metagame where anything that is obtainable in-game can be used. just some things I was wondering about recently.

As long as the system is hacked, and there is a person willing to do it, there are no boundries in hacking pokemon, so we shouldn't assume there are

This is OM, when we can't get what we need we do whatever the fuck we want.

that's my point though lol. if you're doing whatever the fuck you want, it's not really BH, is it? feel free to handle it however, but those were concerns I had if BH was really going to stay true to what I always thought was its intention.

The point of BH is to have a blast and have a metagame with creativity and diversity as well as a metagame where the better player/team wins most of the time. If you ask me these requirements are being satisfied.

BH = best high

Really it's just kind of "we're holding on to a metagame we enjoy until it becomes 'legit'"

Someone who messed with the RAM in his 3DS changed his encounters to see mega Lati@s, so it looks like the game may support mega forms that dont mega-evolve. Notice how theres no mega stone thing next to its name.

Is it really Mega Latios? It could easily be a different forme or something, it seems rather strange for it to get both Soul Dew and a Mega Stone.

EDIT: So Shadow Tag/Arena Trap are banned, but Pure/Huge Power are allowed? Someone please explain.

Yes, a decision on Pure Power is approaching rapidly (Sunday at the latest)

Apparently it is in fact possible to hack in permanent megas. I read that if you hack it so that you get a mega in a random encounter, and catch it, it will always be mega. so ha!

Yes. Not like an RMT but more of like an importable.

Also these new leaks are freaking nuts!

Just post the importable in the thread (in hide tags) with a couple paragraphs about the team; that should suffice.
