Is anybody watching E3 right now? G4 is live and gamespot.com has a live video feed.

Anyway, what do you guys think?

Microsoft and Sony were the best, Nintendo's conference was kind of a joke (a fucking exercise game?).

Microsoft had some cool games, like...
PGR4
CoD4 (ANNOUNCED A BETA)
HALO!
Assassins Creed
etc
etc.

Killzone 2 looks kinda cool actually, even though the first one was a FLOP. MGS4's trailer was amazing, but I want gameplay footage.

Nintendo had Metroid, Super Mario Galaxy, and SSBB...I guess SSBB's release date gives me some time to get a Wii...

The game was developed by an unown team and looked very awesome with neat gameplay.
It got good grades too, and on top of that, it came with an excellent online mode.
 
I don't see how an exercise game is a joke. It's basically another sports game because you have to keep moving and the Wii Balance Board looks interesting. Mario Kart Wii baby :pimp: It's just too bad SSBB won't be out till December (Wtf?) most likely to try and get Christmas sales, though not a bad idea for SSB games, it just makes waiting all the harder =(

Bland single-player gameplay, the weapons don't feel good at all, a lot of the graphics and sounds were annoying, and the ending wasn't all that great.

this is all personal opinion, which doesnt mean the game was an actual FLOP. to you the game just wasnt good, but millions of other peoples thought it was a good game. the game was a great success, you just don't like it.

personal opinion has nothing to do with the game being a flop or a success.
 
HOLY CRAP I CAN'T WAIT FOR HALO I MEAN I REALLY WANT TO PLAY THE SAME FPS THAT I'VE BEEN PLAYING FOR YEARS, ONLY I PAY EVEN MORE MONEY FOR IT

this e3 really blew. ssbb release date and mario galaxy trailers were good though. And a new Advance Wars DS being in the works is pretty awesome.

halo sold really well.

i guess that means it's a really fun game.

Well, it wouldn't be fair to say that only Nintendo didn't deliver, since all three of the companies blew it. Both Nintendo and Microsoft were no where near the level that their last E3 was at, and at least Sony wasn't as embarassing this time, but that's not saying a lot.
 
Huh no.

First, consider that this time around, E3 was completely different.

Second, I don't think ANYONE disagrees that Microsoft's blew the most.
Seriously, all they did was shove incorrect/unfair facts about their console.

Then they had some games, but frankly,
the only interesting one was RE5.

Halo 3 looked quite disappointing.

Sony had a pretty decent one.
It showed quite some games, new PSP model,
and the Home system thing.

They didn't talk about FFXIII there, or about DMC4, which kinda sucks.

That KillZone thing is overrated.

Nintendo was also pretty good, or excellent in comparison to Microsoft.

The Wii Wheel was a joke, of course, and the Wii Fit didn't catch my attention [Although quite a lot of people wanna try it]

On the other hand, the Wii Zapper looks definitely amazing.
It makers shooters like RE much, much more comfortable,
and gives a more real feeling to the game.

Metroid 3 is eh, nothing new.
SSBB release date is a great announcement, despite the fact that the date sucks.

Mario kart Wii is another great one, Mario Galaxy stuff was okay,
although it doesn't interest me specifically.

Mario & Sonic at the Olympics looks okay, but frankly,
it's kinda shameful for Sonic.
 
Wiiboard will make browsing internets 500% faster, but shame it didn't come with some kind of computer addon to play MMOs with if they're so against making them for a specific system.

An inevitable pricedrop in the original PSP will be good to purchase for Star Ocean 2's remake. I felt the new PSP was a little gimmicky outside of having better battery life...

do they care if it sells? yes.

you cant say a game flopped because you dont like it
when you base something off of a personal opinion, keep it personal.

I second that outburst, I can't believe this slipped by me.

E3 wasn't very exciting this year in general, I'm just glad some more quality Wii games are on the horizon. MP3, Brawl, Galaxy, phantom hourglass, and a new advance wars, that basicly satisfies all my needs for the next year and a half.
 
the wii needs more quality games, FAST. paper mario and zelda arent enough to cut it at the moment. so im glad the two big titles are coming before the end of the year

This entire thread is personal opinion. I thought forums in general were always a way to express your opinion.

I consider Killzone a flop because the game wasn't very good, and could have easily been a much better game. That's my opinion.

You think it's a success because it sold well. That's your opinion.

Overall, this E3 wasn't as good as previous ones, but I still think Microsoft and Sony still had the best conferences by an extremely small margin.

WarioWare and Mario Strikers charged are pretty damn fun games. I think, considering how launches usually go, having 4 really fun games plus Wii Sports is pretty good when Metroid, SSBB, and Mario Galaxy are also on the way.

lol the forum thing has nothing to do with it but ok, i dont want to discuss this any further

this is where the definition of "flop" comes into play though. a game isnt a flop because you dont like it, thats all i was trying to say.

yeah i agree, to keep the lead over the suckstation and the flopbox 360 they need to get really great games, SPM and TLOZ:TP were GC games, the were pretty dem good, but GC games in the end, im rooting for GH:RL, BWii, SMG, jajaja and for those that think that nintendo is for kids, well i think sony screw you too, they didnt want MH2 in thier console either

Killzone didn't sell very much iirc. It was hyped up to be a "Halo" killer and didn't get anywhere near what it was expected to be.

Anyway, so far E3 blows. Sony had the best conference by far because they actually showed new games. Microsoft showed us stuff we've already seen and Nintendo showed us stuff we didn't WANT to see. Nintendo better redeem themselves at 1:00 PM today. I'm hoping that they, like last year, apologize about the press conference that was aimed at the mainstream press and give us a trailer for their biggest guns so we all wet ourselves.

Or seriously, worst E3 ever.
