This is probably a stupid question, but then again, that's what this thread is for...

Where is the lady that gives you the effort ribbon?

I'm currently thinking my EVs of some pokes, and I'm not sure how high a certain stat has to be. so is there any list of the defence stats of the standard sets of a pokemon? like: can I kill a gyarados with T-bolt with 100 spAtk, or do I need 350 spAtk? what I meant is: is there a list somewhere with the numbers needed to kill certain threats?

The analyses can help, and consider MetalKid's damage calculator (link in resource thread).

well uh..... I'm not really someone that likes weird calculations... now that I think of it: Isn't there a list like the 'speed magic numbers', but for the standard sets? would be nice!!

I apologize if this information is readily available elsewhere, but I tried searching and could not find it.

I understand the basics of how IV's work, and I understand how to use an IV calculator. However, does the nature of a wild pokemon affect it's statistics as if it were leveled up by a trainer? For example, if I go out and catch a level 35 Sneasel with a Jolly nature and punch it's level, nature, species and stats into an IV calculator, will it determine the appropriate IV's (to the best of it's ability)? I'm assuming that this is the case; that a wild pokemon is just a fresh pokemon at X level without any EV's, but I'd just like some confirmation.

Yes because it has not been trained by a trainer it has no EV's, thus making it possible to easily calculate, to the best of the calculators ability, its IV's. Also if you get wide ranges you can level it up with rare candies or in the breeding center (dosnt add any evs) and the higher the level the more accurate the IV reading. Also more common, i think, are IV battles. You battle somebody on wifi with pokes set to lvl 100, check summary, write stats and calculate.

Munchlax and Snorlax have a difference learnset; Munchlax can get Screech, for example, while Snorlax can't. Their egg moves are also different; only Munchlax can get Zen Headbutt.

Does Guts cancel Burns lowering attack effect?
And does the Pokemon still gets the added effect of Guts?

Note: This is for Fire Orb,Facade Swellow.

The answer is yes to both.

Guys please get your things right before you answer a question, otherwise it gets confusing :(.

um... that's the magic speed numbers, vwhich I already knew of. I was talking about some list where it says how many points I need in (sp.)Attack to kill some pokemon with standard EV spreads. speed list says: you need X speed to outspeed Y pokemon. my question was: you need Y (sp.)attack stat to kill Z pokemon.
A user of this site has actually started making such a list. However, it is much harder to make than a speed list because there are different spreads for the same Pokemon, and also a lot of different attacks.

I'd suggest taking a look at the standard EVs of the Pokemon you're aiming to kill and then fiddle around with Metalkid's calculator.
