That sounds plausible but the thing is it happens with 100% accuracy moves like Ice Beam and Earthquake, without any accuracy modifiers. Maybe I'm missing something.

Just because it says 100% accuracy does not garantee it'll hit. There's a slim chance that it could miss.

Yes, I've heard its actually 99.6 or something. I guess I'll just have to accept this thanks for the help.

No, no, no, no, NO! That 99.6% accuracy thing was only in RBY, and that was because the programmers screwed up.

100% accuracy attacks NEVER miss in GSC and beyond, unless your opponent has Brightpowder or Sand Veil in Sandstorm or Double Team or you've been hit by accuracy downs.

What does ' 'Pokemon' avoided the attack' mean?

For example my Gyarados is in the battle tower and it uses Earthquake on opponent's Sneasel. The battle text says 'The foe Sneasel avoided the attack'. The next turn Earthquake hits like normal. What is going on?

"Avoided the attack" is the message you see when a move that normally hits multiple Pokemon in 2v2 (like Earthquake) misses.

Hey guys, how do random pokemon "avoid attacks?"

For example it might say..

"_______ avoided the attack!"

but nothing in the ability says such thing or no move did it.

If it's not in a double battle, then it's just an different way of saying the move missed. For example if you used leech seed and you miss it will say XXX avoided the attack.

If I breed the Elekid of Pokemon XD Gale Of Darkness with Ice Punch, Fire Punch, Thunder Punch and Cross Chop with another Electabuzz would the baby Elekid have them moves?

By how much did it survive?

Absol has a slim chance of surviving that hit even if it has max HP\SpDef EVs with a beneficial nature. I would guess that this Absol was hacked.

Did this Absol outspeed your Gengar? If it did, then it's hacked, because there's no way it can max out those defenses and have enough speed to outspeed Gengar with a Choice Scarf. (Unless your Gengar is around 300 speed or so.)
it had about 5% health left. My gengar is modest so a scarfed absol can outspeed my gengar, but that involves putting some EVs into absol's speed.... =\

Since I no longer have access to a computer with a Japanese IME (allows you to imput Japanese characters as text on English PCs), I was wondering if anyone knows where I can find a list of NATURES in Japanese. If I could just search PokemonWiki...

Here, if you can imput Japanese, here's a link to a Japanese Pokemon Wiki. Natures are known as "seikaku."

I just got my new router, so that means I can go on Wi-Fi and I was hoping you could answer a few questions.

Can you usually trust people to trade you something back, such as if you wanted to evolve a Pokemon by trade would they give it back?

Are their a lot of people on the internet who don't IVbreed and ev train, I know on Smogon their isn't but maybe on Gamefaqs?

Thanks in advance for your reply.

Depends. You can't really judge on the internet except if you've seen them around and it helps to know their reputation.

Without EV training / [IV breeding] it'll be hard; but there are people who post "non ev-trained/iv-bred battles"
Thanks in advance for your reply.

where is the best place to train for exp, is it the elite four or is there a specific trainer thats better?
also does anyone know of a tabe that shows how much exp a pokemon needs to get to a certain lvl, i know some need 1mil, some need 600,000 exp to hit lvl 100, but does anyone know a guide that says how much they need at lvl 70 or lvl 50?

When is it better to go Jolly over Adamant Ambipom if going with this set:

name: Al Gore
move 1: Fake Out (Male Nuzleaf + Female Aipom)
move 2: U-turn (TM 89)
move 3: Brick Break (TM 31)
move 4: Shadow Claw (TM 65)
item: Life Orb
nature: Adamant / Jolly
evs: 4hp/252atk/252spd

The Analysis doesn't give any information of the plus and minus of each nature.

Ok let's see... let me quote from the Speed Tiers thread... what's between your Timid and Adamant Ambipom?

361 - +nature/252 Raikou, Azelf, Ambipom, Starmie (115)

359 - 252 Jolteon, Crobat, Aerodactyl (130)
350 - +nature/252 Gengar, Tauros, Espeon (110)
349 - 252 Swellow, Weavile (125)
346 - +nature/252 Infernape (108)
339 - +nature/252 Mismagius (105)
339 - 252 Alakazam, Dugtrio, Sceptile (120)
334 - One DD from 223 speed (Bulky Gyarados)
333 - +nature/252 Garchomp (102)

329 - 252 Raikou, Ambipom, Azelf, Starmie (115)

Just figure out if you need to be faster than +speed natures of Gengar, Infernape and Garchomp... that, or cause more damage...

Here it is!

All of the neutral natures seem to be bundled at the bottom.
I don't know what order the stats come in.

i have a question about the status effects:
if you are burned, poisoned, frozen, sleeping or paralyzed, the only other status condition that can happen to you is confusion, yes?

so you can only have 1 status condition plus confusion?

You can only have one of Burn, Poison, Freeze, Sleep or Paralyze at one time like you say.

Afflictions that are removed by switching (not including natural cure) do not count as status and can occur simultaneously. These include Leech Seed, Confusion and Attraction.

So you can be poisoned, attracted, confused and seeded at the same time.
