I managed yesterday to start a Hotspot while I was connected to a Wifi network, but both connection got really unstable, the connection test on the 3DS was successful, but I couldn't connect to the internet ingame, and loading web pages on the laptop was also really slow, so I don't recommend it.
Aaah really?? I was using a really beat up laptop ( a secondary one, since i was worried my primary one could get destroyed during the installation process ), but everything worked out so well ! * U *
my internet was shaky at first, but it quickly got very efficient and fast * U *

I have another issue now. ;.; I installed WinPcap.. but I don't see the program file for it, all I see is rpcapd or something... >_< How do I unzip this stuff.. and urgg.. Sorry for being so noobish, but I don't really understand. ;.; I feel like there should be another file/application/program used for unzipping?

Maybe you have a very good antenna in your Laptop, but normally it shouldn't work that well (if it works at all)

Hmmm when you downloaded it, did it show you an icon at the bottom of your screen? (like an icon with download complete)
To unzip, you need to download winrar (you can find it anywhere for free), then once you install that, right click the files you need to unzip on instacheck, and click "extract here"
Yep, I followed all instrucstions on the first page with nothing but a windows 7 laptop and wireless connection !

Okay.. ahh.. which files exactly do I need to unzip? >_< I've got winrar on my laptop. And I'm sorry I'm so lame, I seriously need this spelled out for me like I'm 5, I don't understand it. x_x
I had only one connection (the primary internet one my entire family uses), and simply created a hotspot with instacheck * U *
No problem, right click the icon of "instacheck" after downloading, and there should be "extract files", somewhere in the menu that pops up ! * U * that basically unzips it, haha ~
Okay, after having extracted the files to a folder on my desktop, what do I do next? >_<
Alright, so you right click the instacheck icon that says "application"
Then you click "Run"; a window shoud pop up -make a random network name and put something simple as the password, like "12345678", then "start hotspot"
THEN go to your 3ds and delete all internet connections!! Or at least leave the first spot empty haha ~
then click "search for access point" -find the network that you just named and type the password in !
Then go go into your game (pokemon), click "start instacheck" on your computer, and turn on the wifi on your 3ds ~
after the internet connects (may take a few moments), click "start scanning",
Then you can make a tradr with random people -everytime you show them an egg, its gender, stats, nature, and everything will show on the left hand side of your instacheck window!
As a precaution, before you connect run instacheck, you should type in "cmd" into the search bar of your computer, right click "run as administrator", then type:
netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow
Then everything should be fine !
Do I need Winpcap to be open or anything for this? I had extracted the files once before, and my computer bluescreened (though I didn't have winpcap installed. Is there a way to avoid this? D:
All i did, was install winpcap, then unzip instacheck hotspot, then start the program. I dont use ethernet, just wireless too. works fine for me.
