Which version of .net framework do you have installed? Is it at least 3.5?I've tried that multiple times and still get the same error, I'm running vista home premium on a pretty crap tier laptop. running wired through ethernet and still no luck.

yep i got eggs to check too, what's your fc?aah wow sheeplet, you are really good with the technical stuff ; U ;
on a sidenote, I have some more eggs that I have to get checked >___<
does anyone else have any?
I might take a few minutes, since I want to manually record everything ; A ;
alright, awesome !yep i got eggs to check too, what's your fc?
Try installing just .net Framework 4 not the extended version. I'm not sure if the extended version includes the things you need for this.I have .NET 4 extended
tried uninstalling and reinstalling a couple times...
should I maybe uninstall and install 3.5?
sorry ! accidentally clicked offer >__<yep i got eggs to check too, what's your fc?
I uninstalled it and went back to 3.5 and still doesn't work apparently extended is the standard 4.0Try installing just .net Framework 4 not the extended version. I'm not sure if the extended version includes the things you need for this.
edit: I'm really not that good with technical things. I just google well. xD
Winpcap doesn't sound like it's the problem there. I'm not sure what "wlan is what shows up as the virtual network for wireless" means. Does that mean his miniport adapter doesn't show up at all? Are his network card drivers up to date?A friend of mine is having an issue with his instacheck. This is what he sent me:
"It's an issue with getting my network to share. "The specified device does not exist as an installed service
wlan is what shows up as the virtual network for wireless
so when i try to share my lan with it, i get that error every time
I've installed winpcap, 4 times too"
Has anyone experienced a similar issue to this? I wanted to help him since I had a ton of problems with the program when I first tried to get it working, but I never ran into the issues he's speaking of.
Does the hotspot show here?OK, Strangely, The latest Instacheck Hotspot that SGCMarkus uploaded actually LOADS on XP, but the hotspot doesn't show up on scanning with it on my 3DS, anyone else having this issue if you are using it on XP?
Huh, did you right click and run cmd as administrator ? ; A ;Nope, it gives me this: The following command was not found: wlan show hostednetwork.
Nope, same error, I guess XP doesn't support the option, I'm about to do the xydec source code option via VirtualboxHuh, did you right click and run cmd as administrator ? ; A ;
and you typed in netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow ?
I do not think Markus' version is supported in XP. It manually sets up a hosted network using netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow ssid=x key=y, which isn't included in the syntax in XP.Nope, it gives me this: The following command was not found: wlan show hostednetwork.
Ooh, yeah, sorry I didn't know you were using XP >__<Nope, same error, I guess XP doesn't support the option, I'm about to do the xydec source code option via Virtualbox
Sure, um, do you need your eggs checked as well ?yes i am :) my fc 4957 2743 7234 my in game name is mohe but i don't have instacheck, i've heard that it's enough if one of us has it.
that may explain my problem then, I get the exact same error when using that command line....I do not think Markus' version is supported in XP. It manually sets up a hosted network using netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow ssid=x key=y, which isn't included in the syntax in XP.
