does anyone else have any?
I might take a few minutes, since I want to manually record everything ; A ;

Try installing just .net Framework 4 not the extended version. I'm not sure if the extended version includes the things you need for this.

edit: I'm really not that good with technical things. I just google well. xD
 
A friend of mine is having an issue with his instacheck. This is what he sent me:

"It's an issue with getting my network to share. "The specified device does not exist as an installed service

wlan is what shows up as the virtual network for wireless

so when i try to share my lan with it, i get that error every time

I've installed winpcap, 4 times too"

Has anyone experienced a similar issue to this? I wanted to help him since I had a ton of problems with the program when I first tried to get it working, but I never ran into the issues he's speaking of.

I uninstalled it and went back to 3.5 and still doesn't work apparently extended is the standard 4.0

Winpcap doesn't sound like it's the problem there. I'm not sure what "wlan is what shows up as the virtual network for wireless" means. Does that mean his miniport adapter doesn't show up at all? Are his network card drivers up to date?
 
so I see that there are linux and mac versions "in the works" does that mean days weeks or months. Just curious on how its coming along, of course I'd rather you take your time with it. I almost got a pci passthrough to work with my windows 7 vm guest from arch linux but after setting up everything it turns out my card only supports passthrough with one specific intel chipset... So close. Can't wait to use this but there is no way I am dual booting windows.
 
OK, Strangely, The latest Instacheck Hotspot that SGCMarkus uploaded actually LOADS on XP, but the hotspot doesn't show up on scanning with it on my 3DS, anyone else having this issue if you are using it on XP?

Does the hotspot show here?
cmd -> netsh wlan show hostednetwork

Huh, did you right click and run cmd as administrator ? ; A ;
and you typed in netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow ?

On a sidenote, I need some eggs checked again >___<
Anyone still out and about and want to help one another out ? * U *
 
yes i am :) my fc 4957 2743 7234 my in game name is mohe but i don't have instacheck, i've heard that it's enough if one of us has it.

I do not think Markus' version is supported in XP. It manually sets up a hosted network using netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow ssid=x key=y, which isn't included in the syntax in XP.
 
Okay guys, so i can connect the ds to the hotspot, and it shows up on my network, but when start the instacheck program and go to select what connection i use, i only see my main wireless and my LAN the virtual hotspot doesn't show up on the list.

If so, can you let me know how many and what you want me to record specifically ?
I'm typing it all up manually since I haven't yet figured out how to use the clipboard copy and paste part yet xD

that may explain my problem then, I get the exact same error when using that command line....
any possible fixes for this?
