Winpcap doesn't sound like it's the problem there. I'm not sure what "wlan is what shows up as the virtual network for wireless" means. Does that mean his miniport adapter doesn't show up at all? Are his network card drivers up to date?
I am following your video. However, when I get to here 2:35, I see that on my computer it does not have a thing where it allows me to select the network. Is there a way to make it appear?I made a video with some of my own tips and tricks, as well as most of the info gathered by this thread.
Hopefully it helps some people.
Well you could try a few things:I am following your video. However, when I get to here 2:35, I see that on my computer it does not have a thing where it allows me to select the network. Is there a way to make it appear?
< It looks like this for me but for you it looks like this:![]()

Well you could try a few things:
- Check your services (search services.msc) and see if Internet connection sharing is started
- Make sure your network adapter allows hosted networks; you can check from command prompt: "netsh wlan show drivers" and check if hosted networks is supported.
- Make sure your wireless card is enabled but not connected to any network!
- Use the command prompts shown in the video annotations, or in Pokemon Breeder Sophie's guide on the first page of the thread, and then check and see if you get the options in the sharing tab again.
- If you're using vista, seems many people have issues with that windows version.
i can help you out, add my FCWould anyone mind helping me find out my SV? Maybe check 10 eggs too? All i'm met with is BSOD when I connect my 3DS to the hotspot :(. FC: 0645-5776-0115
My network is shared but as soon as I click start Hotspot it stops sharing, which then I end up getting "The group or resource is not in the correct state to perform the requested operation". My Networks are supported as well so no problem there, and even with Pokemon Breeder Sophie's guide I still seem to get an error.
I do not have it listed. Is there a way to get it?Try this:
- Go to Device Manager
- Go to network adapters
- Check and see if you have "Microsoft Virtual Miniport Adapter" listed
- Enable it if you do
- Try and start a hotspot
I do not have it listed. Is there a way to get it?
Hmm, still having problems. I'm wondering if it's because I'm using Windows Vista. Anyways, thanks for your help on trying to make it work for me, I've been at it all day. XDWell if you entered the commands in command prompt:
"netsh wlan set hostednetwork allow"
"netsh wlan start hostednetwork"
You then open instacheck, and then go to device manager and check if its there (it should be, which is awkward). If it is, you enable it, and then start a hotspot.
If not, then really not sure what else could be done. You could try and update your wireless cards drivers, that seems to have fixed it for some people before.
i can help you out. message meCan someone check my Eevee eggs? FC in siggy, thanks!
It doesn't work with wonder tradesOkay, I have two issues, after noticing the stand alone instacheck:
1. I cannot get it to work on my laptop, it says that it stopped working whenever I try to open it up.
2. On my PC/desktop/second computer, it opens, but when I try to scan, it says scanning, but when I do a wonder trade, it never shows up?
What am I doing wrong? D:
