Yea not sure what else you could do then; like I said, its all trial and error to try and get it to work, since no-one with win7 or vista starter seems to be able to just yet.

You can try "netsh wlan show hosted network" to see the status of the network, and if it is allowed. May as well try "netsh wlan start hostednetwork" too.

Ok, I don't know much about this, but I disable all other Connections except my normal Wi-Fi and the Instacheck one, then I run cmd.exe and type in netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow and run Instacheck, try it.

I've tried that and when I did it kept giving me an error saying "The method or operation is not implemented"

netsh wlan show hosted network shows everything as allowed. netsh wlan start hostednetwork gives me the same group error like always. *sigh*

Well the only other thing I can think of to try, is to go to device manager, and under network adapters. Right click your wireless card, and go into its power management. Make sure "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" is checked, if not then check it and click ok. Its awkward but, seems to work for some people.

Remember to start the hosted network again if you do this.

I checked device manager and they all have that box clicked. I guess I'm SOL. :(
