Hi there! I have a question. I know that there are moves that pokemon are only able to learn through B2/W2 move tutors, therefore my question is this: Is it possible to transfer pokemon from Pokemon X/Y to B2/W2, so as to learn the moves there? And then transfer back?

No, generational transfer is one-way-only in all cases. (The exception was Gen 1/Gen 2, but that was extremely buggy to begin with...)

You'll have to raise the Pokemon on BW2 and transfer it with the move to have it. This is probably at least part of the reason why the VGC rules require that all Pokemon used be in the Kalos dex and be Kalos-born (blue pentagon on status screen); it eliminates previous-gen move tutor moves.

If my pokemon is holding a red card, will it trigger if it is hit during Protect? Will it trigger if it is hit behind a substitute?

I'm told that a red card should trigger on a substitute (the Hawlucha thread has a couple of sweeping sets centered around SDing behind a sub to abuse that), but I'm almost positive that it won't work if it hits Protect, since I believe that the attack has to connect for Red Card to trigger and Protect forces a miss.

(This is the same reason why Protect is a moderate threat to HJK users; +4atk/+1spd Hawlucha may outspeed your entire team and 1HKO with near-perfect coverage, but if he ever whiffs an HJK you'll have to get a mop to get him back into his Pokeball...)

Just to be sure I was clear...
The ending stats for when my pokemon gets to lvl 100 with me using the reset bag, would be the same if I had EV trained it fully at lvl 1 and then leveled it to 100?

Yes. You could even level them all the way to 100, then use a reset bag and EV train them. This is useful in case you ever feel like altering the EV spread of a pokemon.

I want to start an hyper offense team. I don't know with which pokemon to start, and i don't know if it's reliable to do a such team. What can you suggest to me ? What is the best pokemon to use in an hyper offense team, and what kind of support does it need ?

Call me really dumb, but can anyone link me to the official tierlist thread? i cant find it anywhere in the competitive discussion section of the forums (i might just be blind) and i dont really want to spend all day looking in the wrong places for something.

Currently the only tiers are Overused, Ubers, Doubles, and Little Cup. UU, RU, and NU do not exist yet.

If you want to build a hyper offense, one of the Pokemon that i'd definitely look at first as something to build a team around is mega lucario. Mega Lucario comes packed with amazing mixed attacking stats, a great/trolling Speed stat once it gets mega evolved, and a great ability in adaptability that provides it with 240 BP Close Combats and 160 BP Aura Spheres and Flash Cannons to break down bulky threats with (along with an 80 BP Bullet Punch and Vacuum Wave, the same BP as extremespeed). It can run both a physical and special set effectively, which adds to its unpredictability and makes it even harder to handle, especially considering special megaluke threatens manly of physical luke's checks. All in all, Mega Lucario is a frail but incredibly powerful offensive threat that serves offensive teams pretty well. As for teammates for mega Lucario, it really depends on what set you're running, and in physical's case, what coverage move you're running. If you're running physical mega lucario with Crunch, Pokemon that can easily deal with Pokemon such as Gliscor and Landorus-T are very helpful for Mega Lucario, as they can take any move from SD Crunch Lucario and KO Back with a STAB EQ. Rotom-W, Gengar, Keldeo, Greninja, and Mamoswine are good examples of Pokemon that can break through these Pokemon, some can switch in safely and some can't, but once they get in they should all get the job done. If you're running Ice Punch instead of Crunch, you'll definitely want something for Aegislash (either way you want something to wear it down tbh, since it can take +2 dark moves from both physical and special). Reasonably bulky things with STAB EQ in general are pretty good against Aegislash, as well as Bisharp (personal favorite of mine) who can threaten aegislash as long as it doesn't get in on Sacred Sword while ignoring King's Shield drops with Defiant (bisharp discourages defog too, to help you keep rocks up). As for special Mega Lucario, because it completely ignores things like Gliscor and Landorus-t's physical bulk and can cleanly OHKO both with +2 flash cannon, Pokemon that benefit from having those two out of the way are natural teammates, such as Garchomp.

hope i helped! :)

This may seem stupid, but, is Excadrill in OU as of right now? I ask because my team uses an Excadrill and it's a very pivotal part of the team.

It means that you can use all the Pokemon and moves that will be available when Pokebank comes out.

So it will be like another metagame just like Little Cup, NU, UU, etc.? So the attacks and pokemons that can only be obtained through pokébank are going to be "banned" to "pokébank OU"?

Once Pokebank is out, presumeably, "Pokebank OU" will become the standard OU tier you're familiar with.

Pokebank is similar to last gen's Dream World tier.

Several past-gen Pokemon are not obtainable in X and Y, and so have to be transferred from previous gens using PokeBank. As PokeBank is not open yet, these Pokemon are currently illegal ingame. The current legal tier is OU Beta, which is the same as what you'd find in an ingame wifi battle. The PokeBank OU tier is where all of the currently illegal stuff is useable, just like it will be once PokeBank opens.

Once PokeBank does open, the PokeBank OU tier will become obsolete, and not exist anymore.

Thanks for your answers.
I have another question, is it possible for Chatot to get both Defog and Boomburst? Both are egg moves from different fathers (Defog being ducklet, swanna, rufflet and braviary. Boomburst with Noivern).

Yes, Pokemon can now inherit egg moves from the mother so if a Defog-bearing Chatot breeds with a Boomburst Noivern, the babies will know both Boomburst and Defog.

If the mother has some egg moves (lets say 2) and the father has more egg moves (say, 3), do the father's take priority when inheriting?
As in, will the children have one of the mother's egg moves and all 3 of the father's? Or something else?

Thanks ! I was looking for my mega-slot, and the Mluke option was indeed very attractive. However, if i follow your advices, i think i made some mistakes in the way i build this team. Indeed, for me, and by reading some topics on smogon, an hyper offense team is composed with a lead who set up EH/Reflect/Light screen, and prevent the opponent to do so. Then, the rest of the team are all physical or all special sweepers, who almost never switch and just hit hard after geting some boost. And some of them are mixed, kind of lure just like Ttar with ice beam and fire blast in a physical offense, as he can take down skarmory, ferrothorn, gliscor and lando-T. So am I wrong ?

Is using Shuckle on your team for that purpose-or any other purpose, for that matter-worth the loss of a pokemon slot? NO.

Pokemon choice is irrelevant. The relevancy of the question is how to use the pokemon in question. So I ask again: Is it worth it to use Contrary with Shell Smash on Shuckle?

Is settling with a 31/18/31/x/31/31 Zygarde be acceptable it if one is going for a Coil build on him? Or would it be critical to keep resetting to get the perfect Atk IV as well?
