Yo! I'm looking for shinies.

Competitive and non-competitive work. I'm willing to negotiate dependin' on the shinies. I have a special interest in first gen shinies, so feel free to make offers on any of them. I'm not terribly interested in fishing shinies. Friend Safari shinies feel free. =)

Hey, I have a question concerning the destiny knot. It randomly picks 5 IVs across both parents, correct? And if so, what are my odds of a 31/31/31/x/31/31 baby Gible if the dad has a perfect IV in Attack and Special Defense, and the mom has perfect HP, Defense, Special Attack, and Speed?

If you replace the dad with male babies that have more max IVs, your chances increase significantly. So let's say you get a male with 3 max IVs, replace the dad with that. Then when you get a male baby with 4 max IVs, replace the 3 IV one, and so on.

I have a male baby with 5 max IVs (i must've gotten incredibly lucky with it) in everything but HP, I would replace it but i don't like the idea of incest :p although I guess i'll replace the current father lol, I did the calc and I have much better odds.

With the pokebank freely allowing the transfer of hacked pokemon (even those with illegal spreads/sets/pokeballs) how do I verify during a trade without a tool like we had back in gen 5?

I advise to hold off on it for awhile, their 'improved' hack check is hilariously bad.
 
just masuda hatched my 4th shiny, an adamant axew, his ivs are 31/31/31/xx/05/31, considering he has a really low base special d stat anyways, is 5 iv in special D something to be concerned about?

5 Sp. Def is very unfortunate. I'd personally rather it be 31 and try to reach that goal. You can try to get something for it by trading or keep it as a trophy.
 
considering he has a base 70 Special Defense I cant imagine him surviving any special attacks anyways, I think Ill try to use him as a focus sash baton pass recipetent and pray the opponent doesn't usa a priority move right away. I mainly wanted him for his looks and trophy value, fortunately he has 31 in speed and attack so I think a few kills are still possible
