FAQ:

-Q: What Pokemon receive Mega Evolutions?
Well, all Pokemon that have Regular Mega Evolutions will receive LC Mega Evolutions!

-Q: What about Kangaskhan, Absol, Pinsir, Aerodactyl, and Heracross who don’t have Pre-Evolutions?
Unfortunately, these Pokemon will just stay with Regular Mega Evolutions, no LC Mega Evolutions.

-Q: Wait...isn’t 100 Base Stat increase HUGE and game breaking?
Yes, it is, that is why all of the LC Pokemon will have just a 50 Base Stat increase, cutting all Stat increases in half. Ex: Mega Tyranitar has a Speed Base Stat Increase of 10, Mega Larvitar will have only a 5 Speed Base Stat Increase.

-Q: Oh! So then how will they Mega Evolve?
Exactly how normal ones do! Instead of having to create new items, just attach the Evolution’s Mega Stone to the Pre-Evolution. Ex: Attach a Tyranitarite to Larvitar, who evolves into Mega Larvitar!

-Q: So...how will they be identified in battle?
All Pokemon that are eligible for Mega Evolution will be forced to be nicknamed *Pokemon*-Mega and any other Pokemon can not be nicknamed *Pokemon*-Mega. Ex: Larvitar holding a Tyranitarite will be forcefully nicknamed Larvitar-Mega, but say a Larvitar holding an Eviolite can not be named Larvitar-Mega.

-Q: Are any LC Mega Evolutions banned at the moment?
Currently only Scyther is, but that is subject to change.
EDIT; Meditite is now banned as well.

-Q: Do they retain their ability or do they get a new one or do they get their Evolution’s Mega Evolution’s Ability?
They get their Evolution’s Mega Evolution’s Ability. Ex: Larvitar gains Sand Stream, as Mega Tyranitar’s Ability is Sand Stream.

-Q: Do any of them gain new moves?

Only Magikarp will, otherwise it has 0 use whatsoever.
-Q: Won't they miss Eviolite/Berry Juice?
Well, after consideration, it was decided that the Mega Stones will give an Eviolite effect!
EDIT; It's been decided this is too powerful, so we've removed the boost!

-Q: What was the Gen 5 LC like?
You can read this for all about last generation’s LC Metagame.

I think Magikarp should not get any new moves. None of the other megas got any new moves, so why should Magikarp? Especially not Sucker Punch, not even Gyarados gets that! Also, Mega Charmander Y should be flying, "it's illogical" seems a bit subjective, is very inconsistent with the other megas, and will cause confusion. Besides, Dragon-type Mareep doesn't make much sense either. Apart from that, this seems like a pretty cool meta; Aron, Shuppet, and Meditite in particular seem very strong.

EDIT: The mega stones giving an Eviolite effect seems a bit broken.

Giving to Magikarp some Gyarados' moves, such as Aqua Tail, Dragon Dance, universal TMs and maybe Earthquake for the lols seems reasonable to me. I mean, his only source of damage is Hydro Pump... but i agree that it shouldn't get anything that Gyarados hasn't.

Magikarp being the only mon to get extra moves is preferential treatment. If Magikarp is going to get new moves, give it Gyarados' entire movepool, and do the same for every Pokemon.

I would really only give Magikarp Dragon Dance, Substitute, Waterfall, and Earthquake, ie. the only moves Mega Gyarados ever really uses.

As far as Charmander Y being not being Fire/Flying, I actually agree with that in a weird way. Charizard does not change typing when it evolves to Charizard Y, thus you could justify Charmander Y also not changing typing. With this mindset, however, Mega Larvitar would also have to remain Rock/Ground. If you do it with one but not the other, then it is completely arbitrary.

EDIT: And yeah, I would have no problem with simply giving the Mega mons access to their evolutions' full movepools.

Tbh I'd prefer it if nothing got any new moves, it just seems odd, and seems like it detracts from the creative potential of the meta; if all the little cup megas play the same as their fully evolved forms, that would be a bit boring.

omg mega squirtle looks so tanky

I think the Eviolite effect here seems far too OP. Remember, Mega Stones can't be Knocked Off or Tricked.

50% boosts to defences on top of megas seems a little to strong really. Maybe 30% boost instead? The megastones can't be knockedoff anyways..
Also i think lc megas should only change type if their evolutions change type. So mega rilou/mega torchic should keep their original monotypes and megacharmanderx/megamareep/megamagikarp should be the only mega lcs to change their type.

Actually, I had a long discussion with Treecko and Arcticblast about the Eviolite affect, and we were takling about maybe 25% instead, but then we settled on only 50%. And perplexingpool, you've made a very valid point, but I'm going to give Magikarp Dragon Dance, Substitute, Toxic, Earthquake, and Waterfall, otherwise it is useless. I might give it Bite, as Gyarados has it as well.

Hey CHesnaught, your a cool ass dude, this is a cool ass meta, I have a cool ass server, and I can make some cool ass code. So lets make this work, I'll implement this on my server by tommorow, that cool with you?

That would be absolutely wonderful <3

Even if Magikarp gets some crucial moves are its stats even usable?
I see a base 70 Atk and a base 80 Speed, both good. But it has pretty bad bulk, so Dragon Dance is going to be iffy. Mega-Gyarados in OU can get a free DD in because 1) it's non-mega still has intimidate and 2) it's bulky enough to take a hit. Mega-Magikarp probably won't be too too useful even with some new moves.

That's not a base 70 atk, that's a base 35 atk and a base 70 defense, so yeah, it's very uselesss unless you built your entire team around it

Hmmm....

Baton pass +6 Atk +6 Spd and you still can't really do much.
Though I'd love to see a mega-magikarp sprite.

I see mega-torchic taking the metagame. Not in anyway because of sweeping potential but rather because of the Baton Pass Capabilities.

Torchic @ Mega-Stone
252 HP / 252 Spd / 4 SpA [Note: I'm not too familiar with LC EV spreads so this could be off]
Timid Nature
Ability: Speed Boost
-Swords Dance
-Baton Pass
-Protect
-Overheat

It gets S-dance but no good physical STABs. That's a huge issue.

NOT Overheat. You'd pass -2 SpA to whomever. Use Fire Blast, unless your team is only Physical.

Personally, I don't see MegaChic as a huge improvement over Torchic.
