I feel clawtizer is a decent poké but with it's lackluster speed I feel like it needs a scarf/Tailwind to pull off a decent sweep..
 
The point of most slow Mons usually isn't to sweep, I think.
Clawziter is just a holepuncher. Put it in safely, and they'll either switch out or hit clawziter as it fires off a massive attack. Guess their move well, and you'll probably kill something. After that, if clawziter took a hit, its probably done for the match, since it reallylacks bulk.

Basically, this thing works as well as Crawdaunt, just with better coverage and no priority from the other side.

False.
Clawitzer's ability, Mega Launcher powers up all Pulse and Aura moves by 50%! Makes it terrifying cause Water Pulse is now 90 BP and still 20% confusion, and Dark Pulse and Aura Sphere, 80 and 90 BP, get buffed big with ML. So yes, it can hold its own in OU.
 
I'm fairly certain that Mega Blastoise pretty much one-ups Clawitzer in every way in that it has much better bulk and can Rapid Spin hazards away. Clawitzer, while strong in its own right, is simply too slow/frail for OU. UU will be just fine for it though.
 
I feel like its Choice Scarf set is its best bet just because it can revenge kill a Mega-Lucario if the opponent isn't prepared for it as +2 Bullet Punch can't OHKO it even on a crit.

Not every way. Clawitzer doesn't take up the Mega spot, can hold an item such as Life Orb or Choice Scarf, and functions better in Trick Room.
 
Ok, I will admit a Trick Room team with Clawitzer has done me in a couple times; it is an absolute wrecking ball if given the proper support. I'm simply stating that while Blastoise does take up the Mega slot, it usually pulls its weight much better than Claw did in my experiments with both. If it doesn't make OU, it will feel right at home in UU.
 
I still think Clawitzer can be very effective given the right support, and I know this can be said about any Pokemon in the metagame, but Clawitzer does have some defining qualities. Mega Launcher is a great ability for Clawitzer, and access to the rare Aura Sphere is pretty damn good too. I would run:
Cloyster (M) @ Life Orb
Nature: Modest
Ability: Mega Launcher
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpA
-Water Pulse
-Aura Sphere
-Ice Beam
-U-turn / Dark Pulse

A slow U-turn is always helpful. Anyway, I think this would make great partners with a Speed Boost Scolipede with Spikes + Baton Pass + Protect + Megahorn.

Timid 252SpA, 252Spe ,6HP, @ Choice Scarf
-Dark Pulse
-Water Pulse
-Aura Sphere
-Ice Beam

Although still slow even with the scarf, it does its job and hits hard. It really surprises alot of people when this outspeeds and hit them with a SE hit.

In the neverending battle between Launchers i still say Clawitzer is better cause: you can equip Specs or LO & it doesnt take up a mega spot
 
Just a question, is Jellicent even of concern in the lower tiers? Sure, it's UU, but I don't see Clawitzer going UU at all.

Jellicent is OU last I checked but thats just me.

Even then, it should technically still be a concern seeing as how while Dark Pulse on a Clawitzer hits like a truck, Jellicent can take special hits well.

Jellicent is UU this gen, for the time being.

I suppose Dark Pulse is important for Clawitzer, since it can get a 2HKO with Life Orb. However, We can all agree that Sludge Bomb is inferior to Ice Beam, as Azumarill is no longer of real concern.
