The weather nerfs may not have been especially kind to them, but they're still excellent backbones for various strategies. I'm not sure if the Therian Formes are available at the moment or not, but even if they're not, the Incarnate Formes still feature a darned nice physical attacker and two of the only Prankster users ever released capable of going on the offense.

They are, a scientist near the end of reflection cave gives you the mirror thingy.

Also tornadus got aeroblast this gen so he doesn't have to rely on hurricane's shaky accuracy so much any more.

I have a Jolly infernape with max IVS in everything besides SpAtt, which move would be better for it, Mach Punch or Close Combat? (he's also got Iron Fist)

So, I've got a Machamp on my cartridge that I'm rather fond of. Brave, 31/31/31/x/31/31, with access to Bullet Punch and the elemental punches.

I'm finding myself curious about how well he would fare under Trick Room, possibly with either an Assault Vest or a Choice Band.

I'm certainly iffy about the AV, since Machamp doesn't have the obscene spdef of something like sand-boosted TTar to abuse with it or any form of recovery, but 85 Spdef isn't that horrible to work with and Machamp is one of the few Pokemon I'm working with right now that wouldn't miss the status moves.

Right now the three options I'm looking at for him are as follows:

CB, with a focus on Dynamic Punch. EV spread is 252hp/252atk/4hp
AV, using Machamp's good base stats and good coverage. EV spread I'm looking at is either 252 HP or 252 ATK, and 252 spdef.

Option 3 is Leftovers, possibly with a Bulk Up set.

To paraphrase the question if you want to skip all the buildup:
How well will any of these three Machamps function under Trick Room, considering Machamp's fairly decent natural bulk and fairly low speed?

Out of the three builds I listed above (CB Dynamicpuncher, AV bulky offense, Lefties Bulk Up), which would be more effective? (I'm aware that the BUlk Up set at least is probably not great for TR, since TR users typically can't afford to waste additional turns setting up...)

kefkakrazy imo I would go with CB DynamicPuncher. The only reason to use Machamp over Conk imo is No Guard + D.Punch/Stone Edge, it's too good. This makes it vulnerable to status though so it won't like burn like guts conk/champ do.

That's what I was leaning toward, too. I was contemplating the AV setup, but I'm just thinking that it's not going to add enough bulk to make it worth taking over the whole "switch into Trick Room and start throwing high-tier-speed DynamicPunches at faces," which was, yes, basically the entire reason why I raised a Machamp over a Conk.

On a complete stroke of luck I just managed a perfect 6IV Eevee, with hidden ability and Timid nature. The plan is to get a Magic Bounce Espeon, but are there any other evolution options I should consider with that nature and ability? Unfortunately this locks me out of hidden power fire so I want to consider any other options, but personally I don't see any.

Jolteon likes that nature, though it doesn't like Quick Feet and wants HP Ice rather than Dark. I'd go for Espeon and maybe just run baton pass (keep it an Eevee until at least level 33) rather than HP Fire, so you can escape pursuits and if you want carry over some CMs too. HP Fire is nice and Espeon does want it, but it's not like it will protect you from Scizor's bullet punch, whereas baton pass might at least serve as a nice second-choice for dealing with pursuiting Scizors (or whatever, since Espeon's faster than a lot of things).

Hidden power fire isn't mandatory on espeon. You can run a dual screens set w/ psyshock/psychic and baton pass. Dazzling gleam isn't a terrible option either so you don't get walled by dark types

How many HP EVs should I give my (eventually) Level 50 Talonflame so it can come in on SR twice? It's got 31 HP IV.

EDIT: Also should I take them from Speed or Attack?

EDIT 2: After some research I think the answer is 0 EVs, because at 31 HP IVs Talonflame will have an odd number of HP which allows him to switch twice into SR. Can someone confirm that?

Yes, I can confirm it. It doesn't need any EVs for its HP to be an odd number as long as it has 31 IVs.

On showdown I'm looking for a bulky and at least fairly powerful ground type with stealth rocks. Tried out Heatran and it just isn't working for me. Any ideas?

Hippowdon, Rhyperior, Gliscor, Garchomp..

If you're having Aegislash trouble, Hippowdon is your perfect answer. Specially defensive Hippowdon hard-counters Aegislash.

Thanks for your help man. I think you've answered a bunch of my questions already. Another Talonflame question though - how viable is roost? I want it because it lets it recover from recoil and SR, and resist ice moves, but I read tailwind is a better idea to do a Tornadus-type last-hurrah thing. Thoughts?

Both are viable, really. Roost can give it longevity and the ability to spam Brave Bird some more, but Tailwind can help in as a "final hope" kind of thing, as it can be crucial. But it's very situational, I had it for a bit and I never needed to use it. Roost would be more useful IMO. all comes down to personal preference

Thanks once more!

Who's my best bet(s) to evolve HA Modest Eevee w/ Wish to?
Vaporeon, Sylveon, Jolteon, Espeon, Glaceon?
Sylveon. Vaporeon usually wants a defensive nature, Jolteon and Espeon want timid (and Jolteon doesn't want its HA), and Glaceon wants better typing :3
