No, like I said, it's a "Gamestop battle report thread" that said it. It said the hacker who got shafted in that tourney (the former American Idol contestant) had used AR to make his 31 IV Pokemon. It could be that he left out a detail to make his guys "completely legit".

Re: "edited stats": If you don't put the Pokemon inside a box, you can have 999 in any and all stats. It can be modified with AR. I've seen some of those on GameFAQs trading board before.

So basically this guy failed at doing something right in two thing, jesus that sucks.

Now I'm wondering what little detail he forgot to put when doing that. Obviously is most have been a common sense thing.

Oh yeah I remember that little thing now. I used it once in Ruby on the Battle Tower. It was funny as heck to when you sent out a Wurmple againest a Salamence only to kick it's winged ass. I never used that cheat ever again.

Actually Question: Why the sudden change in Kyorge's main weapon from Surf in ADV to Water Sprout in D/P?

As far as I know it detects illegal EV spreads and edited stats, Cherish Balls, and according to one Gamestop battle report thread, Pokemon with all 31 IV's.

EDIT: Also someone said it doesn't detect illegal moves and abilities. But I don't know if those will be banned from Wifi mode since GTS and Wifi BT (on the DS) seems to detect a lot of hacked stuff.

The 31 IV in all thing is a rumor, I have a lot of ar'd pokes in pbr with 31 IV's in every stat.

For Water Spout, two words: Choice Scarf.

Say i wanted to use Wide Lens or Zoom lens. Which raises acc. by more? and by how much.

wide lens raise the accuracy by 10%, which means hypnosis will be 77% accurate, megahorn 93%, rock slide 99%...

for zoom lens to raise accuracy (I think, by 20%, try to find it in the research topic) you have to attack after the foe, if not, you won´t get the accuracy boost

So zoom lens increases accuracy more? But only if i go last.
So a 55 acc. move will be 66 assuming that its 20% right?
While with wide lens that same move will be 60.5 acc?
I think im going with zoom lens because the pokemon im equipping it to isn't very fast anyway.
Could someone please confirm that the acc. boost is indeed 20% if i go last while holding Zoom Lens?

Are you sure its Choice Specs you have equiped, or do you have Wise Glasses? I have never seen a Choice Item not work in a Pokemon Game, so that just sounds wierd. .

yea, when i look in summary, on the item slot it says choice spec

whats going on?

I have a question about Abilities. I'm trying to breed a Breloom in Emerald, and then migrate it to DP later. Will the ability stay the same when I migrate it? Or will it switch to Poison Heal?

I heard that there's something about a binary value, where the pokemon's ability is either Choice One / Choice Two. So Breloom would have Effect Spore / Effect Spore. When you migrate it to DP, it it changes to Effect Spore / Poison Heal, so if the Emerald Breloom had "Choice Two" it would change to Poison Heal. Is that right?

Well, Pal Park'd Pokemon only have a chance of changing abilities when they evolve. So if you transfer a Breloom with Effect Spore, it will stay as Effect Spore in D/P. However, if you transfer over a Shroomish, it could change into Poison Heal when it evolves if you have the "Choice Two" you mentioned as an ability.

It's impossible to tell if you have Ability 1 or Ability 2 on a Pokemon that only has one ability in Emerald without prying into the games code though. It's all luck.
