5th Gen PRNG Help / Info - Latest: RNG Reporter 9.96.5, PPRNG 1.15.0

im getting in thw rng just now and im with a big problem
im calibrating and the time0 results are fluctuating too much.
im getting something between 1673 and 167E
are these results normal? how can i get precise results? which game variables affect calibration? perhaps maybe is using iv ranges the error?

Assuming you're on BW2, yes that's very normal. Expect to see about 5 different Timer0's regularly.

Nintendo trolling us I guess? It's just something you have almost no control over. I do find precise timing does give more consistent results, but it's still gonna be you're worst enemy when it comes to the RNG.

Well If your still calibrating I'd gather up anywher from 20 to 50 results so you can see your most common Timer0. Personally I only go for 1 Timer0 in particuler, even to I have 3 that are common. I'll try to hit that Timer0 on whatever seed I'm going for, if I'm not getting my Timer0 after 30 minutes or so than I move on to another seed. Unless you're going for specific Shiny IV spreads than you should have plenty of seeds to choose from.

If you don't hit the correct timer0, you won't get what you're looking for (unless you're incredibly lucky, and the timer0 you did hit has the same spread, which is extremely unlikely).

Yes, as long as you search all months with all keypresses you should come up with hundreds of seeds. Just recently I searched for a 31/31/31/x/31/31 Shiny seed with less then 100 frame advances. I ended up with about 30 results. Only 4 of those were correct nature and encounter slot, but it was a rare Riolu, so more common pokes are obviously going to have many more options. And shiny legendaries use up more time just running the seed search than actually capturing them (as long as the Timer0 cooperates of course)

Why are you advancing the IVRNG? I'm pretty sure that's completely unnecessary and is going to throw everything off every time. You should only be looking for IV frame 1 Pokes, then advance the PIDRNG from there.

I advance it to get the desired spread that i can't otherwise get in frame 1; and no, as i mentioned, i reach my Shiny frame as usual, without any kind of throw-offs, but then that random Skorupi appears instead of the Swarm 'mon every time i've tried.

Regardless, does anyone know what's my problem? or if thats a known bug with the Encounter Slots on the RNG reporter?

Hey guys. I've, for the most part, mastered 4th generation RNG manipulation. Compared to the 5th generation, 4th gen is a cakewalk. So I'm no noob anymore with RNGing. But, the 5th gen has proved to be a massive headache!

So, I'm using the latest version of PPRNG (1.15.0). I'm trying to catch a flawless, 31/31/31/31/31/31 Modest Reshiram. My target seed is at 12/19/2013 at 19:36:15 on frame 55. The delay of the seed? Not too sure, but I know the timer0 is 166D. My MAC address is E0-E7-51-1C-B9-E2, Im using a DSi. I verified my seed by looking at what Reshiram I actually caught after advancing the RNG 3 frames (my initial PID frame was 52). Here are the results of 5 different Reshiram I caught:
  • 19:36:15, 1675 Tmr0 (PPRNG reports 1764), VCount AD, VFrame 8, Relaxed 22/22/0/9/18/20 Often scatters things
  • 19:36:14, 166F Tmr0 (PPRNG reports 1670), VCount AC, VFrame 8, Jolly 31/12/29/31/20/12, Mischievous
  • 19:36:15 1679 Tmr0 (PPRNG reports 167A), VCount AD, VFrame 8, Bold 7/9/24/9/6/7
  • 19:36:14, 1672 Tmr0 (PPRNG reports 1673), VCount AC, VFrame 8, Lax 12/3/21/23/21/11
  • 19:36:14, 1672 (PPRNG reports 1671), VCount AC, VFrame 8, Relaxed 21/20/27/6/29/8
By "PPRNG reports", I mean that's what Timer0 is listed under the Adjacents second. The actually timer0 listed before is the Timer0 I personally put in, to alter the adjacents until I found the IV spread that I hit. As you can see, I haven't hit Timer0 166D at all, and I'm getting screwed over not only with inconsistent Timer0's, but my VCount also. I made sure to start the game 2 seconds prior on these attempts.

Any advice on how I can RNG this thing? I feel so far away from my goal with this. :(

EDIT: Nevermind! I got lucky somehow and landed on a timer0 of 1672, landed a flawless modest Reshiram!

Is it also shiny with your target ivs?

Can anyone explain to me the discrepancies between the two windows? On the left is what I generated, on the right is what I received in game. What's going on? The main problem I can see is the difference between the two initial frames. What should I do? I'm so frustrated... I'm using RNG Reporter 9.96.5

The problem is that the frame you're trying to hit isn't possible to hit. I'm assuming you didn't say no to Juniper at all? If you didn't, frame 36 is the first frame you can hit for that particular seed. This is why it's best to aim for a higher frame when ID abusing.

Thank you very much for the response. What kind of frames should I be aiming to hit? As in what min frame should i search for?

Trying to RNG the shiny event gen 4 dragons, do I need to check the "shiny only" box in the time finder, or just the the "always shiny" option in the drop-down menu next to it?

I get the target frame for the spread I want in the time finder as frame 56, but on the main window the spread I want is on frame 54. Does this mean I need to do advances?

mans, i cant remove the fog on white 2 giant chasm. im saving there, putting the ds date one month forward, then capturing a pokemon, and nothing.
am i doing anything wrong?

so if i want that perfect ditto im stuck with hidden grotoes?

so i have to ask for the data for ditto on the table, can anyone look it for me and send a pm?
i cant see the table with my phone, and my pc cant access internet.

Just to clarify, so I've figured out now with PIDRNG how to hit my seed, and the same timer0, and with parameter search confirmed I hit the seed. I spammed X got in caught a woo bat, my Expected frame for start was 56, the woobat was from frame 63,

What frame Would I need to initiate before my target?

And any advice for a sound for Chatot?
~ I have alot of trouble discerning the pitches with the loud cave music

Am I actually starting on Frame 63 then or before then and mixed with sudden NPC movement or something? I can't see NPC if they are nearly the cave is pitch black (also how far away from NPC do you need to be for them not to affect your advance.

Most importantly! What frame is it that I should be on before get out of menu, stop chatot'ing and hit sweet scent to hit target 98. I lost my seed because I didn't write it down but I'll find a new one to work off of, just need help with how to do this.
