I thought GreatBall because it perfectly matches Mega Gyarados
but after thinking about it a bit a non mega will be seen beside its ball more often.
Diantha's Ralts is always Modest Synchronize and I have a Timid Synchronize Abra.
If you're going Intimidate rather than Moxie, then I'd say the Lure Ball is the best. Otherwise, probably Great Ball is fine.what do you guys and gals think is the best ball for Gyarados?

isn't LureBall green in XY? its what Serebii and here says
Actually, it changes when transferred from Gen IV to Gen V :3Its green in previous gens. It blue and red in X/Y :3
Example:
True :3 Although, I never said a specific generation :3 (Although, I did say previous gens, which means any before X/Y, so I still lose ;-;)
