Speaking of Defog, I see on Bulbapedia that scyther can learn defog as an egg move, but only from a DPPt parent that learned it from an HM. Will it still inherit the move if bred in X and Y, or is it only able to be bred with it in the older games?

It will still have it as an egg move in xy:)

If it is an egg move, then it will be inherited.

You can get the hatching O-power from mr. Bonding in Cafe Introversion in Lumiose City, but only after getting all of the other o-powers and maxing out your style.

Spend five minutes in the Pokeball shop in lumiose buying premier balls one at a time, and it should max out your style easily.

It's strange, because while it is listed as an egg move for Scyther, the only Pokemon in Scyther's Egg Group who can learn it is Scyther. In order to do it, you have to teach it to Scyther/Scizor from the HM in DPPt, then transfer it over to XY.

Excellent! I wanted a good defog user because I HATE stealth rocks with a passion, but unfortunately so many of the pokemon that learn it are flying types! Scizor would be a good one to use it. I need to breed one now. :)

But first I need a bug egg-group pokemon with defog. Anyone have one to trade?(preferably a male) Check my thread in my signature for stuff I can trade.

In that case, I guess I'm looking for a scyther with defog. :)

Edit: But aren't flygon and masquerain and stuff like that also in scyther's egg group? They can learn defog in DPPt. Would breeding them with scyther in X/Y not work?

Did you not see my earlier reply? Here, I'll say it again.

It's strange, because while it is listed as an egg move for Scyther, the only Pokemon in Scyther's Egg Group who can learn it is Scyther. In order to do it, you have to teach it to Scyther/Scizor from the HM in DPPt, then transfer it over to XY.

I have a female Scyther with defog. If you'd like, I can breed for a male for you.
 
RayStrikeAbius you just got somewhat lucky. The first Zubat I bred with Infiltrator is Adamant. Can't say IVs, 'cause they haven't been checked, but you have a decent nature now. Add me, then we can get this done! Feel free to send any sort o' spitback. It's also female, so there's that.

Yes, I edited my post to respond to it. But what about other DPPt bug-group pokes that learn the move?

......quite honestly, I'd prefer a Jolly nature, but I'll handle that myself along with IVs. Right then, adding you now...
