ok, ok, one more. (watching these replays is mildly addictive)

the rage is real

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-133298941
an ash team played with surprising coherency, or just taking advantage of an inept opponent?
also lol ice beam chansey

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen3oubeta-133297803
gen 3 OU, but the chat:
blazikendude: why do you have such annoying pokemon
he's running suicune and blissey himself.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-133298718
ditto to forretress, beating itself to death on a rocky helmet when it could have been laying hazards
blizzard on rampardos
trying to toxic first forretress, then megasaur
worry seed????
dude is clearly new but that doesn't really make any of the choices less wtf

I know this is OU, but can't find the Ubers equivalent.
So, I just started laddering in Ubers, so I'm scratching the bottom of the barrel, and I see ungodly things.
Like a Masquerain boosting with Quiver Dance, and after being taunted, using Struggle.
But my favourite:

Gengar has Mega Evolved into Mega Gengar!

The opposing Boo! used Shadow Claw!
It's super effective! Didi lost 27.6% of its health!

Rampardos has Sheer force, so it's essentially got an SpA of 99. Not bad I guess, good for NU, and a special attacking rampy is totally legit. Though I'd prefer that sky high base attack for offense.

252 SpA Sheer Force Rampardos Blizzard vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Forretress: 75-89 (21.1 - 25.1%) -- possible 5HKO after Leftovers recovery

i know special rampardos is a thing (though don't they usually run fire blast &/or focus miss over blizzard?) but in this case it was definitely a bad play. i mean, it was also packing superpower, so it probably wasn't even fully invested in SpA.

Random Shit: Jazz Edition
-Non-mega Ampharos using Focus Blast on Gliscor.
-Steel Wing Dragonite. Because Iron Head is too mainstream for hitting fairies.
-Needlessly sacrificing Gardevoir and Infernape to a 2% HP SS Cloyster with E-speed Dragonite in reserve.
-Count the issues here: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-133406228
-Hidden Power Dark, Ghost, or Bug Keldeo. I'm assuming Ghost, because it has the best coverage. But knowing the lower ladder, who knows?
-Aerial Ace Ferrothorn.
-Excadrill KOing a Donphan with Rapid Spin. So much irony in that one. (Granted, Donphan was at 5% HP, but still.)
-Rotom-W repeatedly using Will-o-Wisp on Conkeldurr.
-A Slowking nicknamed "Fastking". Perhaps foreshadowing the fact that it got Tricked a Choice Scarf.
-Offensive SubNP Liepard. Also, Liepard in OU.
-Electrode repeatedly using Electro Ball. On Gliscor. Also, Electrode in OU.
-Dark Pulse+Explosion Gengar.
-Headbutt Jirachi.
-Explosion Metagross.
-Yet another setup mon (this time, SD Aegislash) setting up on Quagsire.
-Smeargle setting up QD on Gyro Ball Ferrothorn. It did manage to BP to Sylveon. Well, I think you can figure out what happened next.
-Donphan somehow (and without a scarf) managing to outspeed a pre-mega Pinsir and OHKO with Stone Edge.
-A lot of things that don't belong in OU: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-133407115
-Alakazam using Psychic on a +2 (thanks to GeoPass) Victini.
-Tyranitar using Counter on said Victini.
-Dual Chop Smeargle without a sash.
-Normal Rotom. Which burned a Reuniclus.
-Weakness Policy... Cradily. Turns out it's actually decent if used properly.
-SD+U-turn M-Scizor.
-Bonsly. I shit you not. And it beat a M-Pinsir, mainly due to landing a Rock Slide on the switch-in.
-Ambipom. Using Fake Out on Trevenant.
-Rapidash.
-We've given people grief for using Electivire and Magmortar in OU. One guy went full double-bird to tiers and used both.
-Physical Empoleon.
-Stone Edge M-Heracross. Rock Blast, anyone?
-Ninjask setting up... AND THEN MANUALLY SWITCHING OUT.
-Enigma Berry Aegislash.
-Magikarp.
-Smeargle forgetting about Sleep Clause.
-Rotom-W trying to Will-o-Wisp a sleeping Bisharp.
-Showderp actually using an OU-competent team, for once (well, except for a possible McIceGar, but that's Showderp for you). And winning against the team that had the previous five things.
-HP Electric, Grass, or Poison Espeon (it was SE on Azumarill, that's all I know).
-Greninja using Scald on a Tyranitar it had frozen on the previous turn. (For the record, Scald defrosts frozen things now.)
-Oh, did that Conkeldurr use Ice Punch on Thundurus? Better switch in Garchomp.
-Claydol in OU.
-Magcargo.
-Carracosta in OU.
-Gliscor using Toxic on Aegislash. The usage of Toxic on a Steel mon seems to be a daily feature in RS.
-Later in the same battle, the same Gliscor used Toxic on Heatran.
-Body Slam Mamoswine.

Well, this is going to be a LONG ass post. You have been warned.
Random Shit: Jazz Edition You all know the Drill (Run)
-Non-mega Ampharos using Focus Blast on Gliscor.
Because HP Ice is too mainstream?
-Steel Wing Dragonite. Because Iron Head is too mainstream for hitting fairies.
I didn't know Dnite got that.
-Needlessly sacrificing Gardevoir and Infernape to a 2% HP SS Cloyster with E-speed Dragonite in reserve.
But what about Ice Shard?
-Count the issues here: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-133406228
-Hidden Power Dark, Ghost, or Bug Keldeo. I'm assuming Ghost, because it has the best coverage. But knowing the lower ladder, who knows?
As a Keldeo user, HP Ghost isn't bad on it. I mean it's not the best choice, but it's better than being walled by based god Jellicent. JK You gotta worry about Mega Gardy
-Aerial Ace Ferrothorn.
Something about it being a Sword technique. I don't know. If Aegislash doesn't get it I'm fucking done
-Excadrill KOing a Donphan with Rapid Spin. So much irony in that one. (Granted, Donphan was at 5% HP, but still.)
I love irony
-Rotom-W repeatedly using Will-o-Wisp on Conkeldurr.
I don't know what's worse, the fact that it was spamming WoW, or that most Conkeldurr have Guts.
-A Slowking nicknamed "Fastking". Perhaps foreshadowing the fact that it got Tricked a Choice Scarf.
Irony. Gotta love it
-Offensive SubNP Liepard. Also, Liepard in OU.
This ain't Ranbats
-Electrode repeatedly using Electro Ball. On Gliscor. Also, Electrode in OU.
No Explosion 0/10
-Dark Pulse+Explosion Gengar.
10/10 GENGAR GO BOOM
-Headbutt Jirachi.
Because Zen Headbutt is too Zenny
-Explosion Metagross.
My god, there's a lot of Explosion today
-Yet another setup mon (this time, SD Aegislash) setting up on Quagsire.
SD Aegi WTF
-Smeargle setting up QD on Gyro Ball Ferrothorn. It did manage to BP to Sylveon. Well, I think you can figure out what happened next.
Sylveon tanked it and Pwnd the scrub Ferrothorn with Stored Power?
-Donphan somehow (and without a scarf) managing to outspeed a pre-mega Pinsir and OHKO with Stone Edge.
Scarf Donphan? (OH ARCEUS NO)
-A lot of things that don't belong in OU: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-133407115
-Alakazam using Psychic on a +2 (thanks to GeoPass) Victini.
>Psychic
Come on guys, Chansey eats this shit for breakfast along with her eggs

-Tyranitar using Counter on said Victini.
V-Create? Oh yeah, Counter Ttar. Derp.
-Dual Chop Smeargle without a sash.
Because offensive Smeargle new meta?
-Normal Rotom. Which burned a Reuniclus.
Yeah, but it might of had Overcoat!
-Weakness Policy... Cradily. Turns out it's actually decent if used properly.
Like Galvantula, people don't see it's true potential
-SD+U-turn M-Scizor.
WTF. Why. Just use Bon Mega Scizor for that.
-Bonsly. I shit you not. And it beat a M-Pinsir, mainly due to landing a Rock Slide on the switch-in.
Bonsly4Ubers
-Ambipom. Using Fake Out on Trevenant.
What do you mean Ambipom doesn't have Scrappy?
-Rapidash.
FIRE HORSEY. That is all.
-We've given people grief for using Electivire and Magmortar in OU. One guy went full double-bird to tiers and used both.
New Meta
-Physical Empoleon.
Defiant?
-Stone Edge M-Heracross. Rock Blast, anyone?
FUCK THAT SHIT. HIGHER CRIT CHANCE
-Ninjask setting up... AND THEN MANUALLY SWITCHING OUT.
I've... Done that by accident before...
-Enigma Berry Aegislash.
Enigma as why it was created.
YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH

-Magikarp.
Magikarps in Ubers tho
-Smeargle forgetting about Sleep Clause.
I've done that by accident too. Mostly on longer matches.
-Rotom-W trying to Will-o-Wisp a sleeping Bisharp.
Trying to burn it when it wakes up? Oh yeah that's DUMB
-Showderp actually using an OU-competent team, for once (well, except for a possible McIceGar, but that's Showderp for you). And winning against the team that had the previous five things.
WOOOOOOOW. Fucking. Amazing.
-HP Electric, Grass, or Poison Espeon (it was SE on Azumarill, that's all I know).
>Hidden Power Espeon.
>That isn't Fighting

-Greninja using Scald on a Tyranitar it had frozen on the previous turn. (For the record, Scald defrosts frozen things now.)
Annnnnd how often does Freeze happen? I actually didn't know this so I could of easily done it by accident. Pretty legit IMO
-Oh, did that Conkeldurr use Ice Punch on Thundurus? Better switch in Garchomp.
FUCKING.... GEEEEENIIIUSSSSS
-Claydol in OU.
Chuggaaconroy used one in XD
Actually, this might explain Donphan

-Magcargo.
Best Talonflame counter 2014
-Carracosta in OU.
Meh, only 4x weak to grass.
-Gliscor using Toxic on Aegislash. The usage of Toxic on a Steel mon seems to be a daily feature in RS.
YOU CAN'T KILL SOMETHING THAT DOESN'T HAVE BLOOD WITH POSION! HAS XENOBLADE CHRONICLES TAUGHT US NOTHING?
-Later in the same battle, the same Gliscor used Toxic on Heatran.
God damnit.
-Body Slam Mamoswine.
Aaaaaaaannnnnnnddddd I'm done here.
Only took around 20 minutes! \(^_^)/

No. Just no. He won, but you will see why. My favorite moment: the opponent's xerneas used geomancy! The opponent's xerneas is absorbing power (it already had +6 speed by the way). Good sportsmanship though. For those who are wondering, captain falcon's moveset is Falcon Punch (fire punch) Falcon Kick (blaze kick) that lungy thing in smash bros (sky uppercut) And Falcon dive (brave bird). Based off of smash bros.

Were all of your wins with that account with just that team? I think that would be the more hilarious thing if that was true.

Also, how many people just use Ubers because they can play with all their favorite Pokemon at once not understanding that most of them just are a lose condition for you? http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ubers-133488508

to be fair, the guy with the Mewtwo/Blissey/Dusclops was doing fairly well. Reminds me of a thing a friend told me about called "All Tier" or something. It's where you can use any Pokemon in OU and below, but the focus is more on lower tiers. Think of it like RanBats, except everything is the same level.
Fucking Sneseal tho
(Also, the other guy was pretty stupid IMO)

So today... (This is ubers obviously, I had the deoxys-attack)
Turn 1

Whimsicott used Swagger!
The opposing Deoxys-Attack's Attack sharply rose!
The opposing Deoxys-Attack became confused!
The opposing Deoxys-Attack is confused!

The opposing Deoxys-Attack used Taunt!
Whimsicott fell for the taunt!
Turn 2

The opposing Deoxys-Attack is confused!

The opposing Deoxys-Attack used Psycho Boost!
Whimsicott lost 100% of its health!
The opposing Deoxys-Attack's Special Attack harshly fell!

Whimsicott fainted!

Go! Klefki!
Turn 3

Klefki used Thunder Wave!
The opposing Deoxys-Attack is paralyzed! It may be unable to move!
The opposing Deoxys-Attack is confused!
It hurt itself in its confusion!

The opposing Deoxys-Attack fainted!

If you're ever thinking about deoxys-attack's "bulk," just keep this in mind.

Were all of your wins with that account with just that team? I think that would be the more hilarious thing if that was true.
Sadly not. I did get one win though, but the other guy forfeited after turn one so I didn't bother with a replay.
EDIT: and ferrothorn is speedy in slowmons, btw
ANOTHER EDIT: was the deoxys-attack full hp?

I just remembered I have this old replay of a guy using Trick Room which let my T-Tar sweep his team because everything he had except for Conkeldurr and Reuniclus had higher speed than me. It's on our TV Tropes page under "Useless Useful Spell" (I'm on an iPod so I can't link it directly).

Wait a minute, Ferrothorns learns Aerial Ace? The descripion of that move 'The user confound the opposing Pokemon with speed'
SINCE WHEN IS FEROTHORN SPEEDY
Aerial Ace is actually based of a sword technique called "Swallows Return" or something. Basically, Flying types use their wings, Ferro uses its... Tentacles... Not referencing Hentai
Also. Aegislash gets Aerial Ace. Makes sense now, doesn't it?
