For Xerneas: Anything blue. Quick is best, as it kinda matches both Active and Hibernating forms
For the evil bird, Luxury is the only thing that clicks IMO.
(If the shiny version is ever released, it would be 100% Premier ball though)

Imo lux is easily the best choice, you can do premier to contrast the darker colors if you want. Effect goes with it too.

Well, to both of you, I blame it on the fact that most wimmens do not play games, and most of the ones that do don't play at such a high level. IF maybe 35% of Pokémon players are women, I would say smogon is made up of a small percentage of Pokémon players alltogether, maybe 5%. The amount of chick's on smogon is about 20%. Numbers numbers numbers, you make up a very very small percentage of players. Like 1% of 1% of all players in the world. You are the cream of the crop as far as your gender goes. And I commend you for it.
As for why people might mistake you being men besides the overwhelming odds. Esmeya-your avatar is a dude. Doing what looks like fan karate, plus in your info you choose not to self identify. And BriarRose- briar looks close to brian, and thus people make reading mistakes. (Which is all I got for you lol)
I like to know who I am talking to most of the time. So I knew both of your genders before, because you are such frequent posters. But I can understand why some don't know and assume because of the odds.

Can anyone help me get started on building my 1st competitive team? I literally have no clue where to start although I know the basics on what sweepers, tank/wall, lead, etc do. I want tyranitar and charizad to be on the team because it is just so boss. Thinking about getting SlowBro as the tank/wall and Excadrill to get rid of hazards.

I don't know why you included me. I don't give a monkies uncle what people view me as on the net. If you want to pretend I have a ten inch schlong and a beard more power to you. I keep noting that I have gorilla arms so I can throw people for fun; as for other girls whining and/or are otherwise confused as to why they aren't called girls It's for most of those points you already hit and the fact that lots of men like to pretend to be girls on the internet. I, for one, also would like to punch the ever living crap out of every girl that forcibly identifies themselves as a 'gamer girl', but I digress.
As far as playing games, I've played a lot at a competitive level for a very long time and I'll agree that I was the only girl attending 85% of the UT99/Quake tournaments I went to with my now husband. It's not an uncommon thing, I was also one of the only women in my welding classes (lol). Also, my avatar isn't always one thing. I often have geometric helices or a so-called creepy man as my avatar (or this one). BriarRose on the other hand is overly girly and due to that they probably just think it's a guy. That or because everyone just defaults to the male term because it's the most likely option.
As for a simple breeding project start with Magikarp!

I only play video games because of the blood and gore >:D Except for pokemon. I would enjoy more blood in this but.. guess not.
On the topic of female vs. non female players, let's put it this way. Females are like a jar of marbles. You have the glass ones that are fragile and treated in any other way than delicately, next you have the plastic marbles. These marbles don't give a shit about what you do with them or how you treat them. They're there just to have a good time and put a few dents in the other marbles while they're at it. And lastly, we have the fluffy marbles. They aren't marbles, they're puffballs. They take up room in the jar trying to look like a marble, and only confuse the people looking into the jar. Don't trust puffballs.
Good suggestion as far as easy breeds, but another easy one would be Eevee :) Tons of options, tons of possible spreads.. it's not too hard.
