Yo! I need helps and rates to improving my skills in Uber. This is my first Balance team!
Teambuilding Process.
Scizor (M) @ Scizorite
Ability: Light Metal
EVs: 248 HP / 16 Atk / 244 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Bullet Punch
- Roost
- Pursuit
- U-turn
The Star of the Team, meet my guy, Scizor. This Scizor was Designed to trap Mega Gengar, while still checking Geomancy Xerneas. Even with low attack investment, Scizor still capable to almost always 2HKOing standard Geomancy Xerneas with Bullet Punch.
Palkia @ Assault Vest
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Hydro Pump
- Spacial Rend
- Fire Blast
- Thunder
My Kyogre check, Palkia, with Assault Vest attached on It's body, this guy will sponge some strong special super effective hits. Even without boosting item, Palkia still hits very hard with it's moves and maximum investment from base 150 special attack stats.
Kyogre @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Drizzle
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Water Spout
- Scald
- Ice Beam
- Thunder
This is standard Kyogre's revenge killing and cleaning sets, with Water Spout as It's strongest attack at 70-100% health. Choosing Scald over Surf because 30% burn chance always come in handy, and Modest over Timid because Scarf Kyogres still outspeed Mega Mewtwo Y and gving Kyogre additional power.
Forretress (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Rapid Spin
- Spikes / Stealth Rocks
- Toxic
- Volt Switch
Forretress is my lead, Hazards Setters and Spinner. With it's typing, good natural physical bulk and the investment on Hit Points and Special Defense, Forretress will be sponging some attack even non STAB fire-type moves in rain. Choosing Spikes or Stealth Rocks over Toxic Spikes because It's Hits Levitate Pokemon and have mor targets.
Sylveon (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Pixilate
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Wish
- Protect
- Heal Bell
- Hyper Voice
Yo! Sylveon is my cleric. Wish allows Sylveon to patch up her teammates that either need healing or are coming to absorb an attack at Sylveon. With the Investment, Sylveon can take some strong special attack from Life Orb Yveltal and Lustrous Orb Palkia.
Ho-Oh @ Leftovers
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Impish Nature
- Brave Bird
- Sacred Fire
- Roost
- Whirlwind
Finally, the last but not least, the Rainbow Birds, Ho-Oh. With the Physical Investment, Ho-Oh can even tank physical threats such as Extreme Killer Arceus, Mega Lucarioa without Stone Edge, Mewtwo and Foul Play Yveltal. Brave Bird is mandatory for dealing damage and still hits decently hard even without investment, and with Sacred Fire Ho-Oh will have easy time when facing burned physical attacker, Roost is obviously a must for this Ho-Oh.
Ok, that's it. I'll highly appreciated any critique and suggestions.
Teambuilding Process.
- I've always like Scizor, so I decided to make a team based on him.
- I need powerhouse sweeper, I think Kyogre is the best option, because it's Drizzle severely weakening Fire-type moves.
- Then, I need something who can stop Kyogre, and thats why I choose Palkia.
- Finally, everybody always need Entry Hazards setter and Walls, and I choose Forretress, Sylveon and Ho-Oh.
