It's probably just a bad day/week/month. I've had lots of those where breeding a 5 IV parent with a 6 IV Ditto would give me all 4 IVs and if there was a 5 IV it was missing the correct IV -.- And that's how my 3DS broke :>

This is the reason why I bought PowerSaves :P being able to check 2 whole bank tabs with eggs at once <3

Bank's not gone. Bank is tied to your Nintendo ID. He just needs to log into his new 3DS with his ID and his things will be there.

He should have formatted the previous 3DS, or transferred the data to a new one. That's how you manage to keep your Nintendo ID. I know there's a way to contact Nintendo in case you got your console stolen, but it's a little more bureaucratic.

You would have to do a system transfer to have a chance of preserving your Pokebank. That's the only way to do so, every other method makes you have to pay again and your Pokemon are stored server-side.

If they ask for credit, give them credit. As far as reddit TSV hatches it's nice to link for proof and if the person you trade wants a nickname.
