Shellos @ Eviolite
Ability: Sticky Hold
Level: 5
EVs: 228 HP / 52 Def / 180 SpD / 4 Spe
Calm Nature
- Scald
- Earth Power
- Clear Smog
- Recover

Specially Defensive Shellos can handle everything Lord Helix can throw at it. Shellos can come in on Shell Smash and tank the Earth Power while it Clear Smogs Omanyte, removing all of it's buffs. It then proceeds to slowly win by using Recover when Helix doesn't have a Shell Smash up and using Clear Smog when it does. When you're back at full, two Earth Powers will up Omanyte out of it's misery.

+2 196+ SpA Omanyte Earth Power vs. 228 HP / 180+ SpD Eviolite Shellos: 11-13 (40.7 - 48.1%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
0 SpA Shellos Earth Power vs. -1 76 HP / 0 SpD Eviolite Omanyte: 14-18 (66.6 - 85.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Ferroseed @ Eviolite
Ability: Iron Barbs
Level: 5
EVs: 84 HP / 36 Atk / 188 Def / 148 SpD / 52 Spe
Careful Nature
- Bullet Seed
- Leech Seed
- Stealth Rock
- Protect

Ferroseed comes in on omanyte, and no matter what it does it uses bullet seed and KOs it.
36 Atk Ferroseed Bullet Seed (3 hits) vs. 76 HP / 0 Def Eviolite Omanyte: 36-48 (171.4 - 228.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO
+2 252+ SpA Omanyte Ice Beam vs. 84 HP / 148+ SpD Ferroseed: 14-17 (63.6 - 77.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
also, curse you Hidden power fire users

reserving snover

Snover @ Eviolite
Ability: Snow Warning
Level: 5
EVs: 196 HP / 36 Def / 180 SpA / 36 SpD
Calm Nature
- Blizzard
- Giga Drain
- Filler
- Filler
so yeah, Snover resists Hydro Pump and Earth Power and takes only neutral damage from Ice Beam while destroying Omanyte with Giga Drain. The spread is kinda random, but it always avoids the KO from +2 Ice Beam after SR and 1 layer of spikes, so there's that. (only 6.3% chance to KO with 2 layers). not going full spdef cuz that would be garbage. p much hard counters Omanyte with hazard removal, and still beats it without it.

is soundproof synthesis snover too much of a gimmick

babby somalia (Frillish) @ Eviolite
Ability: Water Absorb
Level: 5
EVs: 236 HP / 116 Def / 76 SpA / 76 SpD
Bold Nature
- Scald
- Hex / Shadow Ball
- Recover
- Protect

I like Hex because when a mon is statused, this move doubles in strength. Base 130 BP before STAB sounds lovely. Shadow Ball can be subbed in jic you are normal and don't care for gimmicky shit.

Anywho onto the important stuff.

Oma cant do much damage without smashing
196+ SpA Omanyte Earth Power vs. 236 HP / 76 SpD Eviolite Frillish: 5-7 (20 - 28%) -- 18.9% chance to 4HKO

196+ SpA Omanyte Ice Beam vs. 236 HP / 76 SpD Eviolite Frillish: 2-3 (8 - 12%) -- possible 9HKO
Where Frillish can semi maim it with the Scald + Hex Combo. (tfw hex isnt in the calc; it's the middle one jic you're wondering)
76 SpA Frillish Scald vs. 76 HP / 0 SpD Eviolite Omanyte: 7-9 (33.3 - 42.8%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

76 SpA Frillish (No Move) vs. 76 HP / 0 SpD Eviolite Omanyte: 12-15 (57.1 - 71.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

76 SpA Frillish Shadow Ball vs. 76 HP / 0 SpD Eviolite Omanyte: 7-9 (33.3 - 42.8%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
After the Shell Smash, things get a bit dicey.
+2 196+ SpA Omanyte Earth Power vs. 236 HP / 76 SpD Eviolite Frillish: 11-13 (44 - 52%) -- 5.9% chance to 2HKO

+2 196+ SpA Omanyte Ice Beam vs. 236 HP / 76 SpD Eviolite Frillish: 5-6 (20 - 24%) -- guaranteed 5HKO
However Frillish can still handle this
76 SpA Frillish Scald vs. -1 76 HP / 0 SpD Eviolite Omanyte: 10-13 (47.6 - 61.9%) -- 93.8% chance to 2HKO

76 SpA Frillish (No Move) vs. -1 76 HP / 0 SpD Eviolite Omanyte: 16-21 (76.1 - 100%) -- 6.3% chance to OHKO

76 SpA Frillish Shadow Ball vs. -1 76 HP / 0 SpD Eviolite Omanyte: 10-13 (47.6 - 61.9%) -- 93.8% chance to 2HKO

If you want to upset millions, you can run Energy Ball for a close OHKO. After Smash it's definite OHKO.
76 SpA Frillish Energy Ball vs. 76 HP / 0 SpD Eviolite Omanyte: 20-28 (95.2 - 133.3%) -- 93.8% chance to OHKO

76 SpA Frillish Energy Ball vs. -1 76 HP / 0 SpD Eviolite Omanyte: 32-40 (152.3 - 190.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO

OP is bad (Timburr) @ Eviolite
Ability: Guts
Level: 5
EVs: 156 HP / 116 Atk / 236 SpD
Careful Nature
- Drain Punch
- Knock Off
- Mach Punch
- Bulk Up

With the addition of an extra point in HP, Timburr is able to counter Omanyte 100% of the time, versus just 99.6% of the time. This extra point doesn't affect too much of Timburr's KOes, especially since the drop is alleviated through Bulk Up. If Omanyte smashes as Timburr switches in, Omanyte fails to KO Timburr while a Drain Punch shatters Omanyte. If Omanyte surfs as Timburr comes in, Timburr takes decently–escaping with the 3HKO thanks so the extra HP. Timburr then survives the second Surf and KOes with the combination of Drain Punch + Mach Punch.

Scenario 1

+2 196+ SpA Omanyte Surf vs. 156 HP / 236+ SpD Eviolite Timburr: 18-22 (69.2 - 84.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock
(18, 18, 19, 19, 19, 19, 19, 19, 19, 21, 21, 21, 21, 21, 21, 22)

116 Atk Timburr Drain Punch vs. -1 76 HP / 0 Def Omanyte: 26-32 (123.8 - 152.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO
(26, 26, 26, 26, 26, 26, 30, 30, 30, 30, 30, 30, 30, 30, 30, 32)

_______________________________________________________________________________________________

Scenario 2

196+ SpA Omanyte Surf vs. 156 HP / 236+ SpD Eviolite Timburr: 9-12 (34.6 - 46.1%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Stealth Rock
(9, 9, 9, 10, 10, 10, 10, 10, 10, 10, 10, 10, 10, 10, 10, 12)

116 Atk Timburr Drain Punch vs. 76 HP / 0 Def Omanyte: 18-24 (85.7 - 114.2%) -- 6.3% chance to OHKO
(18, 18, 18, 20, 20, 20, 20, 20, 20, 20, 20, 20, 20, 20, 20, 24)

116 Atk Timburr Mach Punch vs. 76 HP / 0 Def Omanyte: 12-14 (57.1 - 66.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
(12, 12, 12, 12, 12, 12, 12, 12, 12, 12, 12, 12, 12, 12, 12, 14)

Slowpoke @ Eviolite
Ability: Regenerator
Level: 5
EVs: 196 HP / 120 SpA / 116 SpD
Modest Nature
- Scald
- Thunder Wave
- Slack Off
- Hidden Power [Grass]

This can switch into any of Omanyte's moves and get a turn to move after it gets in. Omanyte loses if it gets hit with Thunder Wave, and HP Grass has a 93.8% chance to OHKO it after it uses Shell Smash. Slowpoke resists Hydro Pump and Ice Beam, and tanks Earth Power easily; none of Omanyte's attacks ever OHKO Slowpoke after a Shell Smash boost, even if they get a critical hit. HP Grass hits not only Omanyte for super effective damage, but also common things it might switch out to in order to absorb the Thunder Wave (Ground-types or Chinchou). Slowpoke's Slack Off lets it heal up continuously in front of a paralyzed Omanyte if necessary, and Regenerator means that it can consistently counter Omanyte throughout the match, as Slowpoke is able to heal with ease and Omanyte is not. Slowpoke absolutely cannot lose.

Changing to Based Lotad. It can switch in on any of omanyte's attacks (bar +2 ice beam) and will always one shot it and gain its health back with giga drain

if you come in on a smash, encore it, gg omanyte. cotton can live any attack from helix with rocks up, and KO back with giga. since you'll likely force a switch, you can use memento to give your own sweeper an easy chance to set up, or hp fighting if they have a pawniard still alive

196+ SpA Omanyte Hydro Pump vs. 196 HP / 120+ SpD Eviolite Cottonee: 5-6 (21.7 - 26%) -- 99.6% chance to 4HKO after Stealth Rock
196+ SpA Omanyte Earth Power vs. 196 HP / 120+ SpD Eviolite Cottonee: 3-4 (13 - 17.3%) -- possible 6HKO after Stealth Rock
196+ SpA Omanyte Ice Beam vs. 196 HP / 120+ SpD Eviolite Cottonee: 12-16 (52.1 - 69.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock
