Regirock @ Leftovers
252 HP/252 SD/4 Atk Impish
Clear Body
Rest
Sleep Talk
Stone Edge
Curse

Can Sleep Talk the bat, or setup Curse and in general be an unkillable prick during Sandstorm. HP Fite might be SE, but its still a 5HKO even if the bat maxes SA, and that's without Sandstorm in effect.

swampert@leftovers
Hp 252/def 180/atk 78
-counter
-focus punch
-earthquake
-ice punch

you rest talk you can get countered, you attack you get countered, you don't atk you eat an EQ.

I like this game... But it's important to fill in all the moves. To counter Magnezone, I give you:
Steelix@Leftovers
standard analysis EVs, perhaps more Special Defense
~Earthquake
~Gyro Ball
~Basic Steelix support move
~Basic Steelix support move

Earthquake is really the only important move here. Steelix is immune against Electric and resists Magnezone's Steel STAB. UnSTABed and non-super effective Hidden Powers aren't too strong in general, and Steelix can easily take the Explosion that makes Blissey not a perfect Magnezone counter.

You can easily substitute Stone Edge over Gyro Ball, or use Toxic in one of the support slots. But really, saying Shedinja is sorta pointless.

That Magnezone set was a lame Thunderbolt x3 fillers. If Magnezone had Magnet Rise, Steelix wouldn't counter it. In other news, Stealth Rock + Roar would sufficiently counter Shedinja. That's the set I use anyway, to mostly great effect.

yeah but if you roar me out, you haven't counter me as much per se, especially when i will-o-wisp you, and effectively crippled your steelix unless you had a heal beller, and i could rapid spin or use shedinja for a prediction bait

You guys apparently don't understand this game, and, because it's so obviously complex, I'm going to do a quick run-down for you.

You cannot have "filler" in a moveslot. You need to actually give a move. You cannot just name a Pokemon and then assume a moveset so you can come back later and be like "lol I outsmarted you because I actually had this set so I win!!!" If I catch anyone else doing that, you will be infracted.

The point of the game is not just to counter the previous Pokemon, but for the next person to come up with a counter to that Pokemon. If you have "filler" in a moveslot, the person can't possibly know what that move is, meaning they can't come up with a perfect counter. Seriously, did you guys even read the first post?

A few ground rules that I think we can all agree on are that if two people post at the same time, we just ignore whichever post comes through second. If a person posts a Pokemon as a counter but it isn't actually a counter to all the moves ("I see your CB EQ Gyarados and counter you with my Thunderbolt Raikou!"), then you give a reason for why that Pokemon obviously isn't a counter, and then give a real counter to the Pokemon they failed to counter.

Some rules that I think should be added are (and what follows is just my thoughts, I won't infract / insult you for disagreeing): 1) Don't assume Spikes, 2) Don't assume Stealth Rock, 3) Don't assume Sand Stream (unless the counter or countered Pokemon is Tyranitar / Hippowdon), 4) Explosion and Selfdestruct are not methods of countering, 5) "lol switch" is not a way to avoid being countered.

In my eyes, for the purposes of this game, a "counter" is a Pokemon that can switch into a Pokemon, and, assuming neither Pokemon switches, that counter Pokemon will end up with at least 1 HP, and the other Pokemon will be fainted.

So in other words, yes, I think I showed a lot of restraint not infracting half of this thread for stupidity.

what if you just slap on the move counter/mirror coat on something that obviously survives, does that count? also, in theory, a focus sash smeargle can counter anything but a faster sleeper.

Well, say you have a Counter, Mirror Coat, Rest, Sleep Talk Blastoise. I use Thunderbolt + Toxic + Roost Zapdos @ Lagging Tail. Toxic prevents Focus Sash from working and puts you into Thunderbolt KO range, Lagging Tail means you cannot Counter or Mirror Coat me with Sleep Talk (just an example). Focus Sash Smeargle cannot stop a Chesto Substitute Sableye / Spiritomb.

Since the game is kind of starting to die down, how about someone posts a new Pokemon with a complete moveset?

Or anything with Vital Spirit, or Hippowdon/TTar/Abomasnow, which ruin Focus Sash by their mere existence.
Anyway, the last non-bullshit post:

Skarmory@leftovers
252hp/def 6 speed
-toxic
-drill peck
-roost
-torment

:D so he cant keep using focus punch

Probopass @ Leftovers
252 HP/252 SA/4 Def Careful
Magnet Pull
~ Thunderbolt
~ Earth Power
~ Magnet Rise
~ Stealth Rock

It would require some level of prediction, but basically it traps Skarm, then offs it with TBolt and Earth Power if it tries a Roost. Throw on Magnet Rise so it can avoid Ground switchins and Stealth Rock as a generic support move, and you're set.

Also Obi, I recommend a ban on "LOL Focus Sash Shedinja" since we'll probably see that 1,873,563 times.

Tyranitar @ Leftovers
252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpDef
- Crunch
- Stone Edge
- Earthquake
- Sleep Talk

for Jynx

/edit: Darn, I was beaten lol. It would help if you say who you are countering so we know what you're talking about.

Scizor @ Leftovers
252 HP/96 Def/160 Speed Adamant
Technician
~ Roost
~ X-Scissor
~ Agility
~ Baton Pass

Defensively oriented Scizor. resists Crunch, can Roost off damage, X-Scissor for the KO, and Baton Pass speed to something else.
