Mega Pidgeot is one of the fastest defoggers in the game and has useable bulk with some solid 2 move coverage in hurricane + heat wave allowing it to run roost as well. It won't be great, but let's not start acting like it doesn't at least have an interesting niche in UU.

So the only physical attacker that can OHKO M-Slowbro is Breloom with a 4-5-hit LO/CB STAB Technician-boosted bullet seed?

Yeah. Not even adamant mega beedrill can OHKO with an adaptability boosted base 150 attack x-scissor, in fact it's not even close to an OHKO. Does around 60 max.
Mega slowbro is the ultimate physical wall.

So, ASSUMING we don't immediately ban Slowbro, how will it replacing MVenusaur as the main defensive mega affect stall?
Less prone to birdspam, will have a wall and potentail set up sweeper all in one so it can consolidate roles for the team. Walls a bunch of physical attackers and isn't doodoo like M-Aggron or at least judging from what I'm seeing it won't be. Potential to improve bulk with Scald burns, more reliable recovery since it isn't effected by common weather like rain and sand unlike Synthesis. Can actually choose some better coverage unlike M-Venusaur who kind of just gets walled by the same things over and over. Tbh I think M-Slowbro will be great if you don't need that glue to handle stuff like Azumarill for example. Slow as hell though, no pun intended, so that might be an annoying aspect sometimes against some more offensive teams. Having a solid water resist in the form of something so beefy is always nice as well.

Edit: Oh and Slack Off has more PP so it doesn't get PP stalled as quick unlike M-Venu with Synthesis.

mega venu hasn't been the main mega on stall for a while, at least not that I can tell. This thing will form a brutal stall core with Chesnaught
It's still used on a good amount of high level teams but yeah as far as stall goes come ORAS it'll probably just end up being M-Altaria, M-Slowbro, M-Sableye as the primary stall mons at the very least for a decent month or so.

MEga Swampert should be running hydro pump as coverage, it shreds Skarmory
ice beam is better for shit like chesnaught and dragonite and still hits skarm decently if invested, altho if it were me I'd have Swamp paired up with something like Raikou to handle the likes of Skarm/Gyara

Beedrill @ Beedrillinite
Sniper
Jolly
252 Atk/80 Def/176 Spe
~U-Turn
~Drill Run
~Poison Jab
~Knock Off/X-Scissor/Protect

Better pivot. You only need 176+ Spe for MMan, who is a great benchmark, so the extra 80 EVs can be pumped into Def to take priority better.
252+ Atk Choice Band Technician Scizor Bullet Punch vs. 0 HP / 80 Def Beedrill: 280-331 (103.3 - 122.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO
"Better". It still gets OHKOed by banded Scizor's Bullet Punch. But band is really powerful, so there's always this:
252+ Atk Technician Mega Scizor Bullet Punch vs. 0 HP / 80 Def Beedrill: 208-246 (76.7 - 90.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock
And LO Scizor does more damage than Mega Scizor, so that calc would be kind of redundant.

You would rather invest in it's usable (for a hit) SpDef or HP to live stuff like this: 252 SpA Life Orb Greninja Hydro Pump vs. 0 HP / 80 SpD Beedrill: 218-257 (80.4 - 94.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Edit:
252+ SpA Sceptile Hidden Power Fire vs. 0 HP / 80 SpD Beedrill: 170-202 (62.7 - 74.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Nice post but a few nitpicks. I feel Mega Beedrill has a major niche as being the only decent user of fell stinger which imo should be abused- especially in the early days of ORAS when not many people know what fell stinger is. Probably replace knock off. (Btw in the trailer did mega beedrill use megahorn or was it my imagination?)

The other sets look nice and powerful though Glalie's nature might be more advantageous as jolly mabye?
While the +2 seems very nice, it is still a low powered move, even with Adaptability and 150 base atk user. And personally, I prefer power over effect most of the time. as with Mega Beedrill having a horrible defensive typing and terrible defense stats, power is much needed as anything that can take Fell Stinger can probably OHKO.

And Adamant on Glalie is to insure a lot of OHKOs with Explosion.

Can banned Blaziken or Lucario (or even Kangashkan) Megas break Slowbro?
Seems like an answer to so many physical assaults especially of the fighting type.

But I think it will suffer from the limitations of slow Pokemon that use many non-attacking moves.
(Mega) Gyarados with Taunt (to prevent CM and Recovery) or Sub (to evade scald burns) and Crunch could give it problems.
If Gyarados has DD and Taunt it might be able to come out on top even if it gets burned.
Obviously this is just 'theorymon' but Gyarados feels like a good answer to a few of the suggested slowbro sets.

I ran some calcs this morning. Both Mega Luke and Mega Mawile need a SD to even 2 HKO it. They both risk getting neutered in the process.

A special M luke MIGHT get the job done though, I'd have to check.

Mega Luke can only 3HKO specially defensive M-Slowbro.

Think of Fell Stinger like Power-up Punch on Mega Kanga - a nice move to pick off weakened foes and gain +2 attack in the process.

252 Atk Adaptability Mega Beedrill Fell Stinger vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Greninja: 204-244 (71.3 - 85.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 Atk Adaptability Mega Beedrill Fell Stinger vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Latios: 180-212 (59.6 - 70.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

A couple of turns of Life Orb recoil/hazards and these two are OHKO'd. It's still a gimmick, but when it works, it'll work well.

Other then the obviously broken megas, the ones I'm looking forward to trying out the most in OU are Beedril and Sceptile. Beedril and Magnezone makes for a nice volturn core. Play around with volt turn until you get something in fell stinger range then proceed to murder everything.

Also for some reason I think that some mega that no one expects to be OP will wind up in Ubers. So many new toys to play with.

Yeah, I plan on using Mega Beedrill on one of my Volt-Turn Teams because he hits hard and runs.
I just saw calcs that Fell Stinger 2HKO's some offensive OU Pokemon.
Hello? Definitely trying that out now.

Spam U-Turn and Poison Jab anything that you can KO and then Fell Stringer for the x2, lol, Beedrill will be fun to use.
I predict him to be B+ in OU just cause.

The only con is that he takes up your Mega Spot, but it might be worth it.

But my only wish is that Mega Sceptile got U-Turn so he can be a hit and run Pokemon.
