If I have a male parent with the desired hidden power (fighting in this case) and it is the wrong nature and I want a 0/1 in its speed (its a thirty right now) what would be the best way to go about breeding the child with the spread and nature I want?

Consider checking this TMM guide, it's really useful.
Personally I'd go with the Time Machine Method since you have most of the work done already.
I'm not that great with the TMM, so if someone could for me I can breed something relatively simple or trade something for this favor
If you have a ditto with 0 speed put the ev-trainh item for speed (can't think of the name) on it and it'll give the egg a pokemon with 0 speed.
I think what I'll do is destiny knot and power item and do it until I get proper nature and breed it with the trick room ditto plus standard everstone and destiny knot from there.
