So, I took what I know about Showdown, and tried to apply it to an LC team. Let's just say, I feel like the one I pieced together isn't too great.
Croagunk @ Life Orb
Ability: Anticipation
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Poison Jab
- Drain Punch
- Fake Out
- Earthquake
When I started making this team, I figured I would need something strong that can lay out some great damage, so I started looking at some Fighting types. I figured Mienfoo is used a lot in LC based off of the teams I've seen, so I kept looking. There were some promising ones, like Machop and Mankey (both of which I have minor experience with), but I ultimately decided on a Croagunk. I threw him together, slapped some EVs onto the stats I wanted it to excel in, and moved on.
Chinchou @ Berry Juice
Ability: Volt Absorb
EVs: 76 HP / 212 Def / 152 SpA / 60 Spe
Bold Nature
- Scald
- Volt Switch
- Heal Bell
- HP [Ground]
This one was introduced to me by HollowRidley on my first RMT, and I use this Chinchou (the "Offensive Berry Juice Set") on my Sand LC team along with this one. This is a very good Pokemon who is useful for switching out and getting a Heal Bell off if my opponent tries to status-stall, and a good moveset that covers some of my team's weaknesses.
Espurr @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Infiltrator
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 Spe
Modest Nature
- Psyshock
- Dark Pulse
- Calm Mind
- Disarming Voice
Since I feel like Espurr is a pretty dominant Pokemon (at least it used to be for me), I slapped one into my party. I put the Scarf on it because I couldn't think of anything else that would benefit me attacking specially, but since I'm running CM on it, I could use some suggestions for a new item on it. I have 252 HP EVs on it so that if, during a battle where the opponent is setting up Shell Smashes or something, I can just get Espurr's SpA and SpD to skyrocket. Oh, and I have Infiltrator because it is really useful and everyone forgets about it.
Chespin @ Berry Juice
Ability: Bulletproof
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Seed Bomb
- Poison Jab
- Brick Break
- Belly Drum
So, just a heads up if you haven't figured out already, I like running 252 Atk and Adamant Nature. It's 2stronk. So, I just tossed this Chespin in to try and eliminate Chinchou and Croagunk's common weakness to ground in a way that wouldn't be risking Chinchou by just scalding for my life. This Chespin isn't great, so a replacement for it would be fine.
Carvahna @ Life Orb
Ability: Speed Boost
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Waterfall
- Zen Headbutt
- Crunch
- Ice Fang
This Carvahna is all out offensive, so I figured 252 Atk is a must. Anyways, Carvahnas with this set are usually bulky to gain momentum (or just downright disrespectful and strong) (or both) with Speed Boost and just start firing away with Waterfall. It's a very strong one, and the only thing I would see be needed to change with it is the EVs. I suck at EVs.
Buneary @ Life Orb
Ability: Limber
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature (again)
- Fake Out
- Drain Punch
- Headbutt
- Ice Punch
The final decision came down to Aipom and Buneary, and since I run Aipom on my Sand Team I figured I would give Buneary a try. Then again, if Aipom would be a better choice, then by all means I would replace Buneary. Again, not much I see wrong with this one other than the EVs.
So, if you guys have any suggestions that would make this team better, I'm all in for it, because I'm not exactly the master of teambuilding.
