ORAS Pokemon Special Announced

The Pokemon Special Manga (also known as Pokemon Adventures in the US) has announced that they'll be starting the ORAS storyline in January. So far the only info on the story elements are:

1. It'll have to do with the murals in Granite Cave.
2. Mega Evolution.
3. Steven Stone calling the Hoenn Dex Holders (Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald) for special training.

Now already this info brings up an interesting plot point with the murals in Granite Cave. Those weren't there originally so how are they going to explain them suddenly appearing? Of course the question I want to know is how are they going to explain the appearance changes of Team Aqua and Team Magma admins (in addition we're shown the Magma admins have moved on with their lives, though the whereabouts of the Aqua admins aren't known). Not to mention that Archie and Maxie are supposedly dead.

If I had to guess, it'll focus heavily on the Delta Episode. I have never read Adventures before, though, so I don't really know enough to partake in discussion.

I just hope wally gets a mention/mega gallade and zinnias in it though both are pretty unlikely. Also yeah archie and maxie supposedly being dead makes me believe it'll be pretty central on something else like the delta episode like lucariomaster2 said , not to mention their image change is hard to explain. Also has the xy special even been translated yet i cant find it...

I don't see how they're unlikely at all; the previous two remake adaptions have focused around the newly added areas/aftergame while using the new characters, plot and the expansions on certain characters' roles. If anything I'd say Wally and Zinnia are absolute definites.

Yeah you're probably right i'm just being pessimistic

I wonder if it will be a (pseudo-?)crossover of sorts like the last hoenn-centric arc (Emerald's)?
