My Music (Former American Idol Contestant)

So rare to come across a musician in these halls that I sometimes forget that it fits within our art scope. Not a big watcher of Idol, but judging by the vids, you seem to be backing up your claims just fine. Having a solid job while keeping a more creative interest at the side is an alternative I for one can recommend, so I'm glad to see it working out for you too.

Your voice definitely has a marketable sound to it. I could easily imagine hearing you alongside popular artists on the radio, unlike some singers who, while talented, lack that element. You can hit (at least) A4 in your mix, which is fantastic.

I'd say that your original songs are alright. I get it if your focus isn't super-commerciality, but I didn't find them as engaging or memorable as could be.

I used to write pop music and have some of my own experience with reality TV, but my vocal folds are shot. I don't know if you were looking for in-depth comments at all, but it's always lovely to see the work of other musicians. Your best performance here is "Lights" in my opinion, not to mention that the notion of a former Idol contestant using Showdown is pretty rad. It shows how Pokemon transcends different lifestyles, or something.

Anyway, your stuff is truly great. If a full-time career in music is still somewhere on your radar, I hope you haven't given up.

anybody who can sing and play an instrument has my utmost respect

also a lot of my hatred, fuck you people who can multitask like that >:(

This is actually really good though

Out of curiousity, what editing software do you use / What microphone are you using / how much money did it cost for you to create your own studio? The latter might be a bit more personal, so if you don't really feel like answering that one, I understand.
