Hello! I'm GrandmasterEmpoleon!, I joined 2 years ago, but I've only been able to post now because of some email mishap now fixed...
I've seen a lot of competitive battling(Going to even VGC 15 Worlds to watch) although I'm not that familiar with it, but I hope i can learn well!

I'm sure you'll learn heaps during your time at VCG. Have fun there :D

Usually, I'd write some long comment showing new users where to get started, but you probably know most things about smogon already soo I'll keep it short and succinct !

I find the best way to learn about Pokémon is just reading through the Competitive Discussion threads.
If you're into art, Smeargle's Studio is Smogon's locale for talented artists. They even do requests if you ask them nicely !
You can also set up Wi-Fi trades in-game using the Wi-Fi threads and talk about Pokémon in general in the Orange Islands.

And if you ever need any help with anything, don't hesitate to ask one of the mentors (or even a regular user like me) or drop into the Competitive Tutoring room on PS...

But you knew all that already, right?

I started at Emerald, and played every generation but 1 and 2. If you would like some help with competitive battling, PM a mentor. As for breeding, visit the "Wi-Fi" section of the forums. For team compositions, PM a mentor for help, and/or go here. Then, head on over to the RMT forum section to post your team and get it improved by other users! Have a good time!

Although I don't know what tier your creating the team for, i suggest a tank like Ludicolo and maybe a mega Manetric assuming your really going in for the rain team aspect.
