Definitely my first instinct, just needed a confirmation.
no unfortunately :(Landorus - #645 (Careful) : 30 - 31 / 30 - 31 / 24 - 25 / 30 - 31 / 30 - 31 / 30 - 31
Are there any Lando sets that run careful?
so I'm new to this competitive battling, and i love poison types, i wanna build a mono team because i heard its tough and tricky and i like a challenge, and thats how i learn, by diving into the hard stuff, so say i had a tentacle and a draggle, what would be good evs to give those types of pokemon? i understand poison types are good defensive walls, but kind of of offensively?
Yes.Another Sheer Force question. Do stat drops from stuff like Close Combat count?
Another Sheer Force question. Do stat drops from stuff like Close Combat count?
Self-inflicted ones don't count, only when they would have applied to the opponent.Yes.
If you mean if they'll give you an attack boost, then no. The Sheer Force boost is only occuring if you use a move with a secondary chance (to confuse/paralyze/flinch for example) Guaranteed stat drops are not countedAnother Sheer Force question. Do stat drops from stuff like Close Combat count?
Waaat?Self-inflicted ones don't count, only when they would have applied to the opponent.

Close combat's stat drops are self inflicted, but they do count.
I meant self-inflicted drops, thanks for correcting me.It has nothing to do with self-inflicted or otherwise. Flame Charge is affected by Sheer Force and normally boosts your Speed. It is only moves with secondary effects. For some reason, Flame Charge is considered a move with a 100% chance to raise your Speed stat rather than just a move that raises your Speed stat, so it counts. Self stat drops are guaranteed and are not considered moves with a 100% chance to drop your stats, so they do not apply.
Karxrida's post includes a link that lists the moves affected by Sheer Force.
Don't see close combat on that list.
No. From Bulbapedia: "Reflects the effect of all stat lowering status moves (excluding Memento), non-damaging status condition-inducing moves, entry hazard moves, moves like Taunt and Torment, and so on back to the user."Is Memento bounced back by Magic Bounce / Coat? Getting conflicting answers from searching.
Because it isn't affected by it?Don't see close combat on that list.
Yes, if you have for example stealth rock on mold breaker excadrill you can get them up vs magic bounce users.I have a mon with Mold Breaker and I want to Stealth Rock over a Magic Bounce opponent. Does it work, of even with mold breaker the rocks are going to be bounced back at me?
well dragalge and tentacruel were just the two that i had in mind for starts, of course i was gunna add more! haha, but i see what you mean, a toxic spike team might be what i go for, set up toxic spikes, have a wall or two and some good sweepers who can finish off whatever gets badly poisoned, i might try that! if you have any suggestions do let me know!Hey, if you really want to pursue it, you don't have to go "all six" Poison-types for a themed team. Realistically any functional typed-theme OU team isn't going to be completely one type. Flying-Spam has its supports in reliable Rapid Spin (Excadrill) and Defog, Rain has its fighting types, steel types and Thundurus. Building a team with both Dragalge and Tentacruel alone is going to be quite a challenge itself given they share a LOT of weaknesses, but it's probably nothing that can't be somewhat solved by adequate team support. Especially if you wanted to do a toxic-spikes themed team - there's a lot of people who would be interested in seeing that become successful, purely because it's pretty rare lately. AND it's hard to work with + poison themed so you're automatically hitting some of your goals :O
(Although personally if you're going to spend two slots on two Pokemon with a typing like Poison-, I'd recommend not having them be quite so similar. 'Cruel is bulky+spins and 'Galge wallbreaks, sure, but after that they're just doubling up on your weaknesses.)
There is a thread for Volcanion somewhere on the OU forum. There was also one for Floette-Eternal but that was locked for some reason. Is there a proper forum to discuss something without a foreseeable release date? Like Volcanion?
there's specific threads for unreleased pokemon in the OU threadlistIs there a proper forum to discuss something without a foreseeable release date? Like Volcanion?
I think they got locked because discussion on them died down for some reason (might've been amongst all the ORAS hype and theorymonning with early reveals), or it might've been because the Pokemon aren't seeing release for a while and to offset theorymonning (less likely since the Hoopa thread is open). There is a thread for Volcanion somewhere on the OU forum.
