Hi. I really want to get started with competitive battling in ORAS and XY. This is a team I came up with.
Are there any changes you would make?
Also, can anyone give me some tips/ Meta for building teams?

My team is built around mega manectric:
Manectric Manectite with Intimidate.
Moves:volt switch, thunderbolt, overheat and protect.
Evs: 24HP/252 SpA/232 Spe w/ Timid
I chose manectric because i have always liked electric types and mega manectric like a really fun special attacker. I run volt switch in case i need to do some damage while changing poke, thuderbolt for stab and paralyze chance, protect for scouting and overheat for coverage.
Mamoswine Life Orb with Oblivious.
Moves:Ice shard, Earthquake, Icicle Crash, Protect
Evs: 252 Atk/252 Spe/4 Def w/ Adamant
Mamoswine has always been one of my favorites and seems to be a quite strong physical sweeper. I run him to counter groung types, running earthquake, ice shard and icicle crash as good stab mobes and super effective againsta dragons, and once more protect for scouting/ predictions.
Skarmory Rocky Helmet with Sturdy
Moves:Toxic, Stealth Rock, Aerial Ace, Roost.
Evs: 252 HP/252 Def/4 Spe w/ Impish
Looking into my team, I needed a physically defensive pokemon, that could also setup hazards, so I instantly chose skarmory. I have toxic, stealth rock as my hazard choice, aerial ace as a nice stab move and roost for a bit more sustain.
Togekiss Choice Specs with Hustle
Moves:Dazzling Gleam, Air Slash, Aura Sphere, flamethrower.
Evs:248 HP/252 SpA/8 Spe w/ Modest
Togekiss was something I really wanted to run once I found out about his potential as a special sweeper. I run dazzling gleam for dragons, air slash as a strong stab move, and aura sohere and flamethrower as good special moves for coverage.
Dusknoir Choice Band with Pressure
Moves:Shadow Sneak, Earthquake, Fire Punch, Pursuit.
Evs:248 HP/252 Atk/8 Spe w/ Adamant
I was also in the need of a specially defensive pokemon, so I started looking into dusknoir. I run him as a bulky physical attacker, with a moveset that covers various types and situations.
Sableye Leftovers with Keen Eye(Want to breed for Prankster)
Moves:Will-o-wisp, Taunt, Knock Off, Recover.
Evs:252 HP/252 Def/4 Spe w/ Bold
For my final pokemon, I decided to run Sableye, since it is a pokemon that I neglected for a long time, and now see great potential in. I run him as a bulky guy that can set up burns, use taunt for calm mind/SD/ Dragon Dance users, knock off for utility and recover for sustain.
