Why not both? Non-shiny breeding is so easy, you can do both in like 15 minutes if you're lucky lol.

Just to keep my conscience clear so I can advance with my SoulSilver game, without RNGing (because I can't) are there any advantages to SRing Lugia in SoulSilver instead of Alpha Sapphire?
I want to know since, if it's really not that different, I might as well catch it to help me finish the game somewhat faster, and wait to SR Lugia for when I reset my AS game.

Avoid SRing in 4th gen games please. Will be easier to learn how to RNG. Is really not hard. I learned in one afternoon when the Toys R Us Arceus event happened.
If you are still not convinced, then the answer is there is NO advantage to do it on Soul Silver. Non whatsoever. It's actually worse.

I can do it if you want I use the backup feature in combination with pokebank with powersave to clone so no cheats or anything are used
Yep, that is what I am looking for :) I think I have you added, it's just 1 pokemon to clone, so shouldn't be a problem, you may keep a copy :)
alright the ingame name is jack though I only clone on my alpha saphire in the 1 in a milion chance something goess wrong I dont lose everything:)
The only "advantages" I could think of are that you could catch it in an Apricorn Ball and teach it some tutor/TM moves that aren't available in Gen VI (I'm not really sure if there are any interesting ones).

Is there a point to Rayquaza having HP Grass when it has access to Energy Ball? 50% more power and a chance to lower Sp.Def.
Toss, if it had flawless Defense it would potentially be worth a keep just for lols, but the fact that it isn't particularly viable and it isn't flawless makes it a fairly obvious toss.
If Speed is 31 (and not a trolling 30), then it would be worth considering the keep for personal use and people who use special Rayquaza.
