Skateboard Thread

Any skaters out there? Discuss stuff here. List good sites for clothes/shoes, parts/completes, tips/tricks, etc.

Currently, I'm looking for a good, trustworthy, and reliable site that sells Zoo York goods (mostly a new deck and clothes). Right now, the only good site I've found is activemailorder.com, but they lack Zoo York goods. Can someone tell me some good sites that they have had personal experience with. Can someone confirm if Tilly's is a good site?

Cumulative List Of Good Sites:
-ActiveMailOrder.com
-Zumiez.com
-CSS.com (a few errors)
-Pacsun.com

Cumulative List of Bad Sites:
-SkateAmerica.com (I think it only works for Fallen, Mystery, and Zero...but still, don't risk it)

I'm not a fan of buying stuff online, but do enjoy riding my board.

Are you hardcore a skater, like wanting to skate professionally/forever?

Active is good, yeah, and when I have to order gear I go there first.

CCS is decent, but they've messed up some off the smaller details of my orders (sending shoes in the wrong size, or something like that).

Zumiez
is okay, too. I've ordered a few decks from there and they gripped them for free. I don't know if they stock Zoo York, though, you'll have to check.

But seriously, go support your local skateshop.

My local Zumiez has Zoo York, but you're right. Local shops need support.

Unfortunately mine is run by a bunch of 7th grade (BAN ME PLEASE).

Lol, I wish. I'm not good enough to be pro. I've been skating for almost two years now. I have the basics down. Still need tons of work on more advanced stuff.

To everyone else, there are no Zumiez's anywhere near where I live, but if there were, I would support them without a doubt.

I can skate, but it's only a form of getting around places quicker, since I have a longboard. I can ride a regular skateboard, but I can barely ollie and things like that.

Sorry, All I know is I put my right fort in front facing forwards, and my left foot is in back facing sideways.

i work at a skateshop, i get shit cheap.

i was waiting to make a skateboarding thread so i could put my and my friends skate video we are going to put out soon but eh.

DONT SKATE MONGO.

Sorry it had to be said.

I skate, have done for about 6 years now? I've got a good circle of mates who I skate with almost every day I can. Check out my youtube account for some of our older videos, we've got some other stuff in the works at the moment.

Also, one of my friends run a skateboarding clothing/hardware company, but I'm not sure if they ship to the USA. I'll get their link for you guys anyway. They're pretty damn cheap and skater ran so support them!

Rainy Day Skateboards
Then We'll Attack
Season

Check them out :D

I was waiting for a Dan post and it delivered!

I skate occasionally, my mates are more into it than I am. If I go to the park it's mainly to smoke weed and talk to girls rather than to actually get on a skateboard!

I am only 17, but I've skated for the past 6 years of my life. I'd like to think I am pretty decent, and back in the day I was always the kid who was "good for my age".

I don't buy stuff online, but I think you should do as said and "support your local skateshop".

I've been skating for a while now
I currently have a habitat deck, venture trucks, and spitfires
I very rarley buy shit online
goofy

I use my board if I am running late for class. Saves me a shit load of walking.

Where do you put it during class? Don't your teachers get pissed if you just put it on the floor/against a wall? Mine do.

Update: I found a local Zumiez about 25 minutes away from my house. It's pretty far and due to traffic, it's very time consuming, but I LOVE it. I can't believe how much I've been missing out. This store beats Pacsun by a LONGSHOT.

I just got back from a killer sesh to end off my last day of summer. I did this gangster KickFlip down a four set, I almost Boardslid an akward as hell 4-set handrail, and I can now do the blackest looking BackSideFlips on flat.

I missed this in my eariler post, but just for fun; Girl Skateboard, Venture Trucks, Darkstar wheels, MiniLogos, Es Nortons with green trim. :] Oh and haha I am stoked about my new Es shirt, its purple and has "Es" in sparkly shit. I find that I skate better when I look more like a skater :\
